I rarely leave reviews, but our experience at Industria was so appalling it deserves to be shared. From the moment we arrived, it was clear this place prioritizes noise and chaos over hospitality. The music was blasting to the point of discomfort, forget conversation, we could barely hear ourselves think. The industria I am familiar with is a classy restaurant, when we got seated they mentioned they were doing Karoke which is fine, but the volume needed to be TURNED DOWN on those guys mic's. They’re handing drunk people the microphone at insanely loud volumes, so everyone is forced to listen to drunk guys screaming and blasting your ears out all night.
The food? Incredibly underwhelming. Tasteless, overpriced, and nowhere near the standard they uphold in different cities.
But the worst part of the night came as we were leaving. One of the servers literally chased us out of the restaurant. She was visibly emotional, borderline aggressive, and made a public scene accusing us of not tipping her, regardless of the fact that one of us DID tip her, just not enough I guess.
To be clear, the service throughout the evening had been subpar at best. She followed us out the door shouting things like, “If you don’t tip, no one is going to allow you in their restaurant “, and “I gave you great service and you not tipping is disrespectful!”
First of all, you do not dictate my experience as the customer. Frankly, this behavior was unhinged and highly unprofessional.
I’ve worked in customer service myself and have never witnessed anything like it. It was hostile, and completely out of line. The staff seems to like to drink on the job, so maybe she was intoxicated.
No paying customer should be ambushed for any reason especially not when the service didn’t warrant a tip to begin with.
This restaurant clearly lacks proper training, management, and standards. If Industria is okay with this kind of conduct from their staff, it speaks volumes about their values. We will absolutely never return, and I’ll be advising everyone I know to avoid this...
Read moreHoly cannoli, our night at Industria Pizzeria + Bar in Grand Bend was a wild Italian ride! The place was LOUD—like, "yell to your friend across the table" loud—but the live music? Pure gold! The musician was strumming and singing like they were born for the stage, cranking the vibe to 11. The open-air setup with those garage door walls flung wide to the street made it feel like we were dining in the middle of an Italian street festival. That said, the tables were packed tighter than sardines in a can—cozy is an understatement! Now, the food? Oh mama mia, it was a flavor explosion! We dove into the Carnivoro pizza and a gluten-free Chicken Alfredo pasta, and both were so good I nearly wept with joy. These dishes were stuffed to the brim with fresh, authentic ingredients—not that processed nonsense you’d find in a sad microwave meal. Our plates hit the table in about 30 minutes, which, for a joint so packed it looked like the whole town showed up, was pretty darn impressive. The staff were running around like superheroes, keeping everyone happy despite the chaos. Industria, you’ve won my heart (and stomach)! If you want a lively, delicious Italian feast in Grand Bend, this is the spot—just bring your stretchy pants and maybe some earplugs for...
Read moreMy wife and I went for dinner as we had been given a gift card and had been to their other locations. I believe they were not open for very long, but we figured to give it a try. Right away we noticed they seemed to be short-staffed as we were not given water or utensils/napkins for a while after we were seated with the menus. I looked around and noticed a gentlemen dressed in shorts helping out at the pass with orders. He came over as he saw we were waiting to give our order. Bad start as the lack of attention caused us not to order drinks first. We started with grilled calamari and caesar salad - it was okay but not up to the other locations quality. We weren't even finished and the mains came; my wife ordered the beet salad - she did not enjoy it. I ordered the tagliatelle ai funghi - again it was okay with very little mushrooms and a watery sauce but pasta was cooked perfectly. We could see the two waitresses were trying their best and kept apologizing. Wanted to try their pizza, but...
