Yes the desserts are delicious with a wide variety to choose from, I have no complaints about the baked goods. I have been a loyal customer for decades. My only complaint is with the customer service or lack there of (recently) which is why I deducted stars. Because of the pandemic we are all doing things differently now. With this in mind I had a serious craving for some treats, a little pick me up something that I knew would brighten my family's day so I asked my friend who lives in Laval if he could please stop the bakery for me on his way to West Island. That I would place an order in advance as I know exactly which treats my family members would enjoy. My friend agreed to do this favor. So I call the bakery to place my order I wanted a variety of pieces of cake and some cookies since each family has their own favorite this is where I ran into trouble I was rudely told "We don't take orders like that over the phone only full cakes!" With new restrictions including how many people are allowed in the store because of the pandemic you'd think they'd prefer customers ordering in advance then coming in just to pay and pick. I have been to other bakeries who do appreciate it when you order in advance, since social distancing is hard to do in small environment like a bakery. Especially when you consider most customers are coming in taking their time looking around trying to decide what exactly to order. What difference does it make to them if I order over the phone or in person?? Either way I always thought a paying customer is a...

Read moreBeen here a few times, enjoy the Galaktoboureko ("milk börek" or "milk pie" in Greek), a semolina custard wedged between phyllo and soaked in syrup, and Bougatsa, a Greek breakfast filo pastry with thick milky cream inside topped with caster sugar and cinnamon. It can also consist of either semolina custard, cheese, or minced meat filling between layers of phyllo; in my case, it appeared to be either semolina custard or the milky cream. The Greek word "Bougatsa" is from the Italian word "Focaccia" which means "Filo Baked In Stove".
I also had the Karydópita/Karidopita/Karithopita (Greek Walnut Cake) and it was indeed scrumptious. Karidopita comes from the Greek words "Karydi", "Karidi", or "Karithi" which means "walnut" and "pita" which means a type of "pie" or "cake".
Finally, I tried the Greek almond baklava; it was worth buying again.
Nice selection and prices plus I enjoy learning about the different Greek names for each dessert.
I'd come here more often except that I enjoy comfortably fitting through doors. :) I'll be back though....
