Dinner tonight at this little family Greek casual restaurant in Laval that was highly recommended … Christina’s Cuisine. When we walked in we were greeted and somehow it was clear that we had not been there before, so the man proceeded to show us some of the items in the hot case for tonight’s specials with beaming pride (in case we were unfamiliar with Greek food). Although they didn’t show our reservation, they sat us immediately (and the restaurant was full during our whole meal…with several people popping in for take away.) It was just a small strip mall restaurant, but it smelled wonderful and felt warm and welcoming and you could almost feel a sense of pride before you even started eating. We ordered a Greek salad (fresh, crisp, and good olives), calamari (meaty and crisp without being greasy), octopus (delicious and perfectly prepared, but a very small amount for the price), tzatziki (creamy and yummy, although I’d prefer a little more garlic, dill, and mint. I like to reek after eating this ;D), moussaka (Greek comfort food at its homey best), pork roast and potatoes (perfectly savory potatoes that Mitch went gaga over and a nice beautiful flavor to the pork…although I always find roast pork to be a little dry, so not my favorite…the flavorful juices served with it made it delicious, grilled lamb chops (absolutely Mmmmmm and my favorite … although not especially meaty, very enjoyable and hit the spot). Mia and I got Aperol spritz’s (that they made cute with some blueberries and sprig of mint) that were very Aperol forward, our favourite twist as we lean more toward a Aperol 3/Prosecco 2/Fizzy Water 1 ratio instead of the usual Prosecco 3 and Aperol 2 Fizzy Water 1 norm. We enjoyed our meal and all felt like this is the type of place that would be quick to recognize you if you came back and probably treat like family if you were a regular (especially having watched the staff’s conversations and body language with everyone coming in and dining or picking up to go). We look forward to coming back and maybe next time trying a gyro or souvlaki! (A couple of photos we swiped from their website as we dove in and forgot to take pix! Thr rest...

I've been here once about 8 years ago almost and again now, and I'm kicking myself to the moon and back that it's been that long. I'm already booking my next visit for after Easter because I'm already craving it! This has to be, and I can't believe I'm about to say this, probably my favorite Greek spot in and around the area of MTL. Outside of Greece, and I've been about 4 times, this has to be the best Greek around.
Nothing fancy, nothing crazy pretentious like some other Greek spots in MTL, just great food, great people and a great time. If you look them up online they have a 4.8 star ranking eith over 1200 reviews and I really can see why!
First let me talk briefly if I can about the pita and dips. Holy shit I've never had such amazing pita ever anywhere! I don't know where they get this pita or if they make it I house but my lord this makes for the perfect vessel for you chicken or pork pitas! Absolutely blown away. Now the dips... Everything was spot on perfect, loved everything about all of them and I normally don't even like Taramasalata but I think I've just been converted.
Now on to what most people would consider the main event, the moussaka, or as I like the call it the Greek Sheppard's Pie. Honestly I'm not a fan of eggplant at alllllll! But again this dish converted me and hard 10/10!
Now what i came here for because I'm just a simple man that loves simple delicious things were the Chicken Souvlaki and Pork Gyro Pitas! OMFG this pitas, WOW. If you can only manage to eat one, I'd have to go with the Pork but please don't sleep on the Chicken. Both were fantastic, again that pita is amazing, the tzatziki is amazing I've been having dreams about this place since I left and I can't wait to go back with the family and enjoy ourselves! Read moreWelcome home. The food served here is a delightful showcase of traditional Greek cuisine. What impressed me the most was the affordability of the dishes without compromising on taste or quality. It's truly a haven for those seeking authentic flavors at reasonable prices. I was in awe when I first glanced at the Skepasti platter that I ordered. And later, I was in absolute bliss after tasting it. The horiataki salad was also fantastic , the tomatoes were just perfect. As was the dill salad (psilokomeni) . The Greek potatoes will make you question every other potato you've eaten before. What was also a huge highlight was how tasty their olive oil was. They serve bread with your meal, and the olive oil tasted unlike any olive oil I've ever had. I could have drank an entire cup of it it was so good. The portions also are very generous. You are getting your money's worth.
The wines offered here are all imported from Greece, featuring a selection of high-quality wines. We were a party of 6 and we all thoroughly enjoyed each bottle we shared.
The ambiance of the restaurant is cozy and welcoming, creating a warm and inviting atmosphere to enjoy your meal. The friendly and attentive staff further enhanced the overall dining experience. Dom, our waiter took good care of us the entire evening. He helped us decide what to start with and made us feel confident in our selections based on what we liked and the portions .
If you're in Laval and craving traditional Greek cuisine at an affordable price, this restaurant in the Chomedey area is an...
