Mehfil Restaurant & Event Hall — Restaurant in Laval (administrative region)

I recently placed an online order with Mehfil in hopes of enjoying a delightful meal, but my experience left much to be desired. Regrettably, both the customer service and the taste of the food fell extremely short of my expectations.

First and foremost, the customer service was subpar. The staff appeared disinterested and unresponsive, making it challenging to get their attention or receive timely assistance. The entire process, from placing the order to delivery, lacked the professionalism and attentiveness one would expect.

Furthermore, the quality and taste of the food were disappointing. The flavors were bland, and the dishes lacked the freshness and appeal that I had hoped for. It was evident that the ingredients used were of inferior quality, and the overall presentation left much to be desired. The lack of care and attention given to the preparation of the menu items was apparent.

To exacerbate matters, when I reached out to the restaurant to express my concerns, their response was indifferent and dismissive. They did not show any willingness to address the issues or make amends. This lack of responsiveness only deepened my disappointment and made me feel unheard as a customer.

As someone who values a satisfying dining experience, I cannot, in good conscience, recommend ordering from [Restaurant Name] online. The combination of poor customer service and unappetizing food creates an unsatisfactory experience. I sincerely hope that the management takes this feedback constructively and works towards improving their service and food quality for future online orders.

We went today to eat with a bunch of friends. We asked for mild level of spiceness, the lady who was serving us suggested to us to eat extra mild because even mild is spicy. So we went with her suggestion. They ended up bringing the food very late and extra spicy, to the point that we couldn't eat it anymore. We called another server who was present to tell her about it, she said she is going to tell the cook. Nothing happens after! She comes back (and we tell her again) especially that some of us has health issues with spicy food. The first server comes back then, she suggests to replace the food which we agree on, she then says that the rice cannot be mild, which she didn't say in the first place. They bring us back the other meals mild this time, edible. We come to pay, she doesn't give us the bill in advance but we still payed 35$. Then we ask her if she charged us for the replacement, she said yes. She said the owner didn't let her to just replace the food and to charge us for everything. The worse about all this is that I told her to taste the food, just so she can see for herself the difference. She insisted that it was the same cook and that he confirmed he cooked it the same way. The person who work there are really welcoming and answered all of our needs.

Constructive criticism: 1- Add some ambiance to the restaurant. Like nashid playing, a big TV with something that has to do with your culture, lighting 2- Serve every customers from the same table at the same time. It’s awkward when someone receive their dish and the next one 10 minutes later. 3- Serve the appetizers BEFORE the main dishes. We received our orders all mixed up. I received the main dish so I started eating, then in the middle of it I received my appetizer lol 4- Always fresh water bottles on table. We had water that has been sitting there all day before we asked for fresh water. Also, we had to ask the waitress for water all the time. Usually, waitress notice that and bring water by themselves.

By the way, this is how it works in every other restaurants.
