Edmond Bistro — Restaurant in Laval (administrative region)

Very disappointed of our experience. The first bad aspect was regarding the parking lot. There are two big potholes which are very inconvenient as soon as we get in the parking lot. When you get in the restaurant, there is a double door, which makes it is so tiny and crowded. The decor does not match the atmosphere. It could definitely be improved. Concerning the food, we were extremely disappointed. We were a group of six people celebrating birthdays and only two of the main meals were acceptable. We ordered grilled shrimps, which we can barely even see that they were grilled and they were very tiny(5shrimps). We had a beef burger, which had no spice or taste. Two plates of pasta were ordered both were missing salt, spices and taste. A plat that was acceptable was the fish and chip but we wished the pieces were a bit bigger compared to other places. The Tataki salmon salad was good, no comments. We also ordered two plates of calamari for appetizer. The breading was the worst we’ve tried. We want to mention that the waiter was a five star. He was very well-informed and had very good recommendations. His service was a five star. Concerning drinks, we took four drinks from the menu. We took a Mojito, which was again one of the worst Mojito we ever had. It was not a sweet drink at all. It was with sparkling water, mint, and barely any alcohol. We took a number 34 which was very good. The Brazilian coffee with alcohol smelled like alcohol, but could not taste it. The sangria was delicious, no comments. Haven't been to Pizzadelic for a few years and it looks like it was completely renovated since my last visit. The decor is snazzier, the menus are sharp and the service was much better than it used to be.

We were invited to have supper here with friends who loooove mussels and apparently Pizzadelic have all you can eat mussel every Thursday night.

On the menu they have 10 different mussel options to try out... so we went at it like gluttons.

First thing I noticed were the mussels are served in big plates and I recommend digging a hole so you can reach the yummy bottom of the plate first and use all that extra sauce you found to enjoy the rest of the plate. I ended up trying 5 different plates before I simply couldn't go on.

Overall the mussels were quite good here. I recommend ordering your next plate once you get your plate so you only wait about 10 minutes or so between plates. My favorite was by far the basil and pesto. It was quite tasty.

With your food you also get some free fries which are quite good and will keep you busy between servings. I liked the spicy mayo dip. However be cause as you can easily fill yourself up with fries.

Service was good even with the resto being quite busy.

Pizza comes out in a rectangular shape with think crust that looks a lot like flatbread. I had a bite and it was good.

Nice looking place. Too loud as most places seem to be. The service was very good. The starters were well presented, nothing extraordinary but tasty and interesting looking, I had the fish and chips and it was doughy and undercooked and the fries were limp and greasy. It should never have come out of the kitchen. The other two mains in our group were just ok, nothing to make us want to go back. So, for 200$ with the tip for 3 people it was underwhelming. We will not go back. I feel bad leaving this review as I know that it is hard for restaurateurs but I work hard for...
