The worst customer service that I have ever experienced in Quebec for years, I bought an Xtreme wireless hdmi transmitter and receiver unit yesterday and could not use it because It had no option of using a power bank, like other professional brands, e.g. Nyrius. I did not even bother plugging it into the wall, as it defeats the purpose of going wireless, you have to use a power plug but the salesperson told me that It was identical to the Nyrius one that I am fimilar with for years, I could not try the unit in the store so I took it on the basis that I could return it If I had any issues as was told by the salesman.I went back to the store in laval to return it less than 24 hours after I purchased I went to the return counter and spoke to the store manager who started losing it and spoke to me in a very provocative, arrogant and humiliating manner in front of everyone around the counter, and he gave me hard time and eventually refused to return it, of course taking as an excuse the packaging. He never paid attention to what I told him as a customer he was just determined to give me hard time, fine I just spent $200 +tax in vain, I always had a high purchasing volume with Addisson every year as my organization does IT/Multimedia since 2013.I took back the unit and decided never ever to go back to Addisson again, as I was humiliated and frustrated. Read moreHorrible shopping experience. From the moment I walked in I was harassed by a disgruntled employee because my mask was slightly below my nose. He kept following me around the store yelling at me about my medical condition and kept repeating that if I had a medical condition I needed to go to the front of the store. I kindly explained to him that's not how it works. I politely asked him twice to leave me alone and stop following me. He kept getting right in my face closer and closer each time. It's very unfortunate cuz I usually spend thousands per year in this store as a musician and I loved shopping there. I was simply having trouble breathing and my mask was a millimetre too low for his liking. It was embarrassing to see this employee act this way and to avoid further conflict I walked out. It's unfortunate that the store owners will lose my business and thousands in sales every year as I will never shop there again until I get an apology for the way I was treated. We are all human and we can breathe freely. I was wearing a mask and followed the rules as best as I could but If you are asking employees to be the mask police then you will lose much more business along the way. Read moreUpdate: Highly disappointed and violating their return policy. I bought the wrong size speaker cable, and when I returned it less than a day later, they refused the exchange and didn't even verify it properly (I even asked them to measure the wire, he insisted not to). Right now, I will drive to their competition, Madisson's, to buy the correct speaker wire. I will likely file a complaint with our local consumer protection as well.
(Note: My original review, shortly after their opening was favorable, and I was a regular customer for years. It is unfortunate, as not only did they fail to respect their own policy, but they failed to show any basic customer care.)
Update: The store responded below and states "there are no returns on custom cut cables and if it was precut cables, we usually validate the product by weight". The cable was off the shelf (not a customer cut), and there was no verification, weight or other completed by your staff. They simply declined before even looking.
