El Pastaman — Restaurant in Laval (administrative region)

Late night craving for a good meal, decided to order from El Pastaman on uber after reading a few good reviews on google.

There was a bogo promotion and I ordered 2 El Blanco (alfredo) with 2 cheesecakes.

Took 15 minutes for delivery to arrive and the food was still pretty hot, a very generous amount of pasta, enough to split 1 tray with 2 people or even save for leftovers.

The fettuccine pasta was cooked perfectly and paired really well with the creamy & cheesy Alfredo sauce. There was a good amount of sauce, coated the entire pasta and the combination of green onions with portobello mushrooms was just perfect.

I also received 2 complimentary garlic breads and they were fresh, good size and paired so well with the pasta.

Ended the meal with strawberry & nutella cheesecakes and they really good, with just the right amount of sweetness!

I've been to my fair share of disappointing restaurants, but this one really stood out — unfortunately, for all the wrong reasons. I received my food around 6:20, and despite the restaurant being nearly empty, I still had to wait about 10 minutes.

The food itself was quite underwhelming: overly oily and lacking in flavor. What concerned me most, however, was the hygiene. I didn’t see any staff wearing gloves, and at no point did I notice anyone washing their hands — which is a serious red flag in any food establishment.

On top of that, the customer service left much to be desired. The staff were unwelcoming and gave the impression they didn’t really want to be there, let alone cook.

All in all, I won’t be returning, and I can’t recommend this place based on...

My wife and I have been in Hopital Sacre Coeur since late Sunday night for the delivery of our sweet daughter. It is Tuesday night, and my wife had been craving some good pasta. We looked online and noticed that El Pastaman, where we usually order from on Saint-Denis, had opened up close by in Laval.

We tried to order through Uber Eats but there were no available drivers at the time.. We called to see if they had private delivery, only to have the owner offer to bring us the food himself.
