We went to Oregon with my wife and 2 friends in January 2025.
The atmosphere is great, beautiful decor, overall great vibe.
The food was okay but not great, too expensive for the quality and portions.
The service started well. Our waiter seemed knowledgeable of the food and the proper pairing of wine. But sometimes it's the smallest detail that makes or breaks a great restaurant.
Our friends asked the waitress for some croutons with their tuna "tartar looking dish" . And the waitress did say it doesn't come with it, but " no worries, I'll bring you some" At the end of the evening, when the bill came, we noticed a 2$ charge for the croutons on a 300$ bill. I know it's only 2$, but we felt insulted. I asked the waiter if this is normal and if there is anything they could do, as it was not appropriated. He said no.
Another employee came to see us for the payment, "our waiter was busy". My wife asked, "Are you the manager?" and this gentleman said "I could be"... what kind of answer is this? And he was very rude and defensive, saying there is nothing free in life. All my wife wanted was for them to understand, if you will charge the client for minimal things like croutons, to let them know ahead.
0% good client experience skills when it came to a complaint. They are making it seem like a high-end restaurant, but they don't have the skills or the knowledge on how give top-notch service.
It's a shame. My wife and I will never re-visit...

You are greeted with a smile and seated promptly. Service is great. The staff is well knowledgeable about the menu. They are always available should you need anything I liked the modern decor and the cozy atmosphere.
I love the food! This is similar to a "tapa" in style (you share food with others). We ordered 5 plates , 2 desserts, and 2 cocktails. Everything was delicious. But the chicken liver mousse stood out from all the other dishes. Bread was well seasoned. The mousse was full of flavor and incredibly delicious. The honey enhanced the taste of the mousse and it was such a great addition. We also liked very much the miso carrots and the rutabaga. The two deserts were delicious. But I preferred the kouign amann. You can't go wrong with either one of them!
It's such a great place in Laval! I would definitely recommend it for foodies, for gatherings with friends/family, or even for a romantic evening. I...
Read moreCharcuterie board is over priced and nothing to write home about(should have taken a pic..). The menu changes every once in a while so might not be exact same food when you go but it was advertised as "assorted veggies and meat" what came out at the time on our board consisted of a quarter of a pickle, five small slices of a dried sausage and 3 cold cuts. No bread no cheese no crackers....for 20 $. We got a few other dishes too which were pretty good, but expensive. We went at 8pm on a saturday and more than half the menu was no longer available. When we let the waitress know about the board she said this was normal, and didnt see any issue with the board being that price for almost nothing on it. Great vibe and atmosphere but not really worth the price, maybe the wine is good ? I...
