ICI CRÉOLE — Restaurant in Laval (administrative region)

Very nice discovery, the best plantains are here.

I discovered this place randomly by driving on Cartier. First wasn’t sure but I told myself with a name like Ici Créole, it must be authentic and good. First, the plantains are amazing and fresh! I think that they chose the right green plantains and make sure the oil is in good condition. Secondly, props on the macaroni salad, not too creamy! Third, the griot, it’s not too crispy but it’s all good! Not too much fat either nor skin! The porc is well washed and you don’t get any porky taste. Finally the Riz Collé is good but nothing out of this world. One note, the pikliz is not spicy enough and it’s not marinated enough. It tastes like Dominican cabbage salad. I’ll definitely be back to taste the Légume dish (Haitian way of making a sort of Ratatouille). Overall the plantain were soooo good that it makes up for the 3/5 star pikliz. Commander il y a deux jours, j'ai tellement aimé que je viens de faire une nouvelle commande. Ils ont suivi les instructions demander (j'aime que les morceaux de viandes ne soient pas trop secs, avec un peu de gras).

Le prix est très bon! Sur UberEats ils sont les moins chers et la portion est grosse. Ça m'a pris deux jours pour finir le plat (avant hier, et hier). Donc portion très généreuse!!!!

Le riz et les macaronis sont délicieux la viande est parfaite (pas sèche), le pikliz a un goût formidable (il est pas extrêmement épicé mais juste assez), la sauce est amazing et les plantains également. Bref, tout est délicieux et je suis très satisfaite.

Ordered food from this restaurant two days ago and it was so delicious that I just ordered again!!! They listened to the instructions I put in, which I appreciate greatly. (I like my griot not too dry, with some fat which is exactly what I got)
