Il Pranzetto Pizza Mobile — Restaurant in Laval (administrative region)

We came in for late lunch (around 3PM) in a group of 10 people (many of us didn't speak English of French) so this might have influenced the quality of the service as the waitresses were already in their break. I was happy to see the sign outside the mall entrance otherwise we would certainly have missed it.

It was a Friday and they offered a short lunch menu with four pasta options, two salads and tree pizza offerings. The fixed price was reasonable (CAD 14.95 if memory serves). They also made smaller kids versions.

Pasta was cooked "al dente" as we hadn't have before in Canada (to our experience usually overcooked ) probably the result of the Italian lady that seems to manage the place. The sauces were all good although the shrimp in one of the options was borderline tiny. The pizza was really good, excellent crust/topping balance - thin, crisp - and flavorful.

They also offered good tasting coffee and capuccino which finished the meal on a high note.

As I mentioned earlier our timing wasn't great. The waiter forgot to serve our drinks and we had to remind her repeatedly. We could see some of our side dishes laying on the counter as the waitresses were chatting. We requested to change the pasta for one of the dishes and although the waitress confirmed, it was served as standard (penne instead of farfalle).

I would recommend to those seeking good Italian food in Chinatown who don't care too much for...

I went to Il Pranzetto with a group of 12 work colleagues. Service was quick and courteous. We all ordered the lunch special which comes with a soup or salad and your choice of main which includes a pizza, a pasta dish or a salad; priced at 14.59$.

I ordered the Zuchiniatta (sorry if I butchered the name). This pizza is supposed to come with zucchini, brie, mozarella and tomato sauce. When I received my order it was missing the brie because they were out. Considering this place is commended for their service I'm surprised this wasn't brought to my attention before they decided to cook the pizza that was going to be missing ingredients. The waitress that served me the pizza said she'll do a lil something for me.

This little something never happened, whatever it was supposed to be.

I'd recommend the food since it was tasty and my group all seemed pleased but they failed to provide the service that is expected to make your guests feel like they are being...

A well oiled machine, they work hard as hell, their work ethic is to be admired and they really treat the customers right ! The woman in charge behind the counter..you can tell she knows what's up and I am not surprised this place is packed on a Tuesday at noon..and plus this place is in a Chinese center..it's amazing..they probably got this busy by reputation alone. So don't hesitate the food is amazing and you will not...
