Embarking on a culinary voyage, I found myself drawn to the tantalizing aromas emanating from Saj Express, a haven for authentic Middle Eastern cuisine. With a curiosity piqued by tales of their legendary mana2eesh, I ventured into this gastronomic oasis for the very first time, eager to indulge in a feast of flavors.
As I stepped through the doors of Saj Express, I was greeted by a warm ambiance that whispered of tradition and hospitality. While the atmosphere was inviting, I couldn't help but notice that the space could benefit from a touch of organization. Nevertheless, my attention quickly shifted to the culinary treasures that awaited me.
My journey began with a selection of mana2eesh, the crown jewel of Middle Eastern street food. With eager anticipation, I sampled the meat pies, cheese pies, and zaatar pies – each promising a symphony of flavors unlike any I had experienced before.
The meat pies, with their succulent filling encased in a delicate pastry shell, were a testament to the culinary prowess of the chefs at Saj Express. While slightly different from the traditional mana2eesh I was accustomed to, the unique twist added a depth of flavor that left me yearning for more.
Next on the menu were the cheese pies – a delectable indulgence that captured the essence of comfort food. The generous filling of melted cheese, perfectly complemented by the crisp crust, was a delightful fusion of simplicity and sophistication.
And then there was the zaatar pie – a timeless classic that transported me to the sun-kissed shores of the Mediterranean. Saj Express's rendition of this beloved dish was a revelation, with the fragrant blend of zaatar, olive oil, and sesame seeds dancing on my palate with each bite.
While my culinary escapade primarily revolved around the mana2eesh, I couldn't help but be intrigued by the tantalizing aroma of charcoal BBQ wafting from the kitchen. Although I didn't have the opportunity to sample it during my visit, it left me eager to return and explore this enticing offering.
In conclusion, my inaugural visit to Saj Express was a culinary adventure that surpassed my expectations. Despite minor organizational hiccups, the impeccable quality of their mana2eesh and the promise of charcoal BBQ left an indelible impression on my palate. It was a journey of discovery that left me craving for more, and I eagerly anticipate my next visit to Saj Express to indulge in their culinary...
Read moreNo greetings, I ordered lahmajin, shawarma chicken and knefeh at 11:30 i was the only client and it took 30 minutes, unorganized and no discipline staff.
Lahmajin: the meat was frozen cold taste what a disaster.
Shawarma: they used left over chicken from a pot and grilled the sandwich for 20 minutes in front of me. I asked for refund. Chicken and meat shawarma left cold and burnt from yesterday, heated multiple times before serving. Disgusting and Dirty.
Knefeh: cold bread even if i asked warm which it supposed to be all time unless you order a big plate, he used small left over kenefe aged pieces, Horrible taste throw it in the garbage.

First, a total lack of organization, you don't know where to order, cash or in front of the food and obviously no employees are asking you if you want something or if they can help. I waited at least 8-9 minutes without anybody asking me anything. The employee at the cash was asking 2 or 3 times questions for every item I was ordering. The cook was not at all friendly and clearly didn't enjoy his job. The place is not at all well set up.... long but tight, so when there are people, everybody is crossing each other's. Food was good but nothing different than any Lebanese place I went to, but they had a special that day for a falafel plate at 6 $; I thought it was a good deal. So many places in Laval, I will not go back there for a while. Mixed plate and falafel plate. As well, I ordered 2 small pizza and 6 appetizers to take out ......
