Top Sushi — Restaurant in Laval (administrative region)

I'm sad to write this review because I'm certain they have a family to support. That said, here goes... Extremely dissapointed. This wasn't our 1st or 2nd choice but we said we'll give it a try. I'm giving them 1 star because it was ready on time for pick-up. We ordered the chef's choice and upgraded the hosomakis. 3 of the 4 rolls were similar. We actually couldn't tell them apart. Very bland. The nori was chewy or at times unchewable. Another roll was different. It had something like an orange colored stale rice krispies, all crumbly and fell out of the roll. The ginger was dark pink. It's color should've been my clue that this is subpar to other take-out establishments. They could be better for their other menu items, but their name is Top Sushi and unfortunately they were far from '' top ''. Sadly money wasted. I bought 60 pack sushi for a take out that cost me around 60$ plus tips and plus taxes. I was very disappointed by this place. First of all, the amount of salmon that they put in the sushi is very small. Secondly, the pieces that they cut are very thin. And lastly they even save on rice. Pictures are attached to my post. Overall, I was not satisfied at all. For the money they ask, their shushi should be much bigger and with more salmon. I dont mind paying for sushi this money, but expect to get for what I pay. I will not be returning back to this place, as I believe that I got ripped off. Ordered through Ubereats a 42 piece sushi combo, with an extra 6 piece dragon eye, general Tao chicken and a shrimp nid d’oiseau.

Good value for the money, but food was a little bland. Only 2 small soy sauces, and the spicy mayo was just mayo. There’s better sushi, but you’ll pay a little more for it. I got pineapple chicken in cherry sauce instead of general Tao, but it was pretty good.
