As one of my Leamington Top 3's, I'm highly fond of Tacos Tony. There is some indisputable charm about the modesty and ambiance of this little establishment. While it may garner some criticism, it's far beyond my concerns in terms of having a good time when out and about the town of Leamington. Yes, I've had my meal screwed up once or twice, only to accidentally receive and equally tasty dish. For picky dieters, you may be dismayed that your chicken tacos came up beef, or you may be judgy when you receive straight fries one day but wavy fries the next on essentially the same dish, feeling as if this was some amateur establishment - but the taste doesn't lie, the charm doesn't falter and the wallet seldom burns afterwards. I don't believe in the myth of perfection - in fact, imperfections sometimes add to the bigger picture. As far as I'm concerned, the paramount issue for any food establishment is safety, and here, the food is edible and the quality is credible. I get a laugh out of the occasional whoopsie in my servings, as I walk out with two delicious taco supremes for less than 5 bucks no matter what animal, chicken or beef, finds its way into that tortilla shell. The fries supreme, even in the poquito size, are daunting to say the least. Bring your stomach, and bring it downright vacuous. And I mean room to spare. You will fill yourself up for a single purple bill, you have my word. If I remember correctly, an order of tacos supreme and fries supreme together was priced at around 8 or 9 dollars. You bet your paycheck I walked out of there whistling, then sat on a bench for 45 minutes digesting the "small" serving size that made me wonder if either they are too generous or I have the stomach of a child. In either case, for a cheap and charming meal, I absolutely adore Tacos Tony, and on the days that I get to sit down and watch colorful Spanish programming on their TV next to a large mural of a quaint Mexican vibe, I feel like I'm enjoying the most relaxed ambiance that Canada's sun parlour can offer. I am a big fan...

Read moreBad news first, decor is old and outdated, but I actually like it because it is very different, done. Now to the good stuff, service is quick even when at busy hours. Staff is friendly, lack a bit of english but very kind. The food, very fresh, tasteful and terrific! Lost count of the number of times I've been here, always worth the drive from Harrow. Lots of passion in the food, lots of flavour and great portions. The beans here are a must, the fading colour of the chairs speak for them. Prices have gone up, but still unbeatable for the amount of food you get. Great owner, always see him helping out the staff, greeting customers and getting food out, that's the way to run a restaurant! Menu is a little confusing when ordering, needs to be more organized, more pictures and an easier to read font. Other than that, perfect place to get away, eat some great...
