I have to say I was disappointed. We were the first customers in, yet our fries for both meals were cold? I can only assume the cook precooked fries in preparation for a lunch rush. I would expect 2 pieces for fish for a $18 fish n chips, I can get a single piece elsewhere for around $12 in Niagara. The server was helpful and allowed us to order a half pint but that's nowhere to be found on the menu, only 20oz for $9. The beer list really needs a description of each beer if you're charging $9 for one, put in some effort. The decor feels like it wants to be Bavarian, but does feel a bit sad and cold. The pinball machine area on entry isn't a great look for me either, it presents as a cheap drinking hole. I tried the IPA which I have to say was one of the best local ones I've tried. I gave my feedback to the server regarding the food and he was nice enough to give me some beers to go, I didn't catch his name but he was very helpful and knowledgeable about the beers. A mixed bag, I'll return one day when this brewery figures out what it wants to be.

UPDATE MAY 20, 2024 Back again since the May 2-4 weekend should include a brewery visit. Visiting with family gave us a chance to dive deeper into the menu. I admit I didn't have beer having been tempted by the Ironwood Cider. The Seasoned Fries were a necessary part of our visit, but the Drizzled Onion Rings were added along with the amazing Brisket Nachos. The Nachos were tremendous! R,Y,C,C & J ORIGINAL REVIEW: Outstanding first visit to Newark Brewing. Spacious yet still cozy feeling taproom with a large patio (Beer Garden) for the warmer months. Really enjoyed the Berliner Weisse, and my partner had a flight of the Core Four beers offered. Thanks, John, for great service and conversation! From the small but mighty kitchen, we had the Seasoned French Fries, which were fantastic! Highly recommended!

WOW!!! The food and craft beer were incredible. I included the photos of our meals- the Turkey Pastrami sandwich on fresh-baked focaccia bread, the Nashville Hot Mushroom sandwich (vegan), fresh cut fries that were super crispy and well-seasoned with an Ajika dip that tasted similar to a delicious chipotle mayo sauce, they accommodated us and gave us a side of the freshly made Spaetzle with their own grainy mustard sauce, and, finally, the Housemade Bratwurst. Everything was fresh and delicious- the prices are super reasonable for what you are getting and I liked knowing that I was supporting not just the local business of Newark Brewing by eating and drinking there, but also all the local farms and businesses that Newark sources from. I will definitely be coming back!

After my first communication with Adam, the General Manager, I knew Newark would be the perfect spot for our recent staff get together. Adam answered all my silly questions in timely manner and I could tell, just through email, that he is proud of the establishment. Once we arrived, we were greeted with a friendly smile from the eager-to-please Steven & Riley! I had reached out earlier to ensure we'd be able to sit indoors if the weather didn't cooperate. They had a table ready for us inside, but took me outside to show me the patio area and explain how the wind may cause an issue. Ultimately, we decided to sit indoors. The atmosphere was simple, but inviting. There were only 11 of us, so we ordered a bunch of things off the menu. Mostly apps and a few meals. Everyone loved the food, especially the Brisket Nachos! Now, we weren't all drinkers, but I for one can say the beer was absolute perfection! I had a flight which included 4 beers. I chose the Newark Light, Stout, Ugly Pike and an IPA I forget the name of. The IPA was the only one I personally wasn't a fan of, but it is my bosses favourite! One of the others was a big fan of the Helles, but OMG the STOUT!!! It went down so smooth and tasted like absolute perfection! I cannot wait to have another pint! The service Steven and Riley provided could not have possibly been any better. They were attentive, friendly, accommodating and made fantastic recommendations on both the food and drinks. We didn't feel rushed as they started to clean up. They didn't ask us to pay bills so they could continue getting ready to close, they simply asked if we would like anything else and said there was no rush. We didn't intend on staying past close, but as we were all enjoying each others company on the patio (had to cool off a bit), time seemed to slip away from us. We all settled our bills and made our way home. Before leaving I told Steven that I live in Niagara Falls and rarely get out that way, but I will absolutely be coming back for a date night with my husband. I think we'll back sooner rather than later, so many more menu items I want to try and I need to have that next pint on the patio

Travelled to purchase their beer for a birthday gift as it’s not sold in the LCBO and hubby wanted to try the beer. No problem, I love to drive so was glad of an excuse. I arrived and it was closed - my bad, I didnt expect the store to be closed and didnt even think about checking the opening hours 🤦🏼‍♀️🤷🏼‍♀️. Nevertheless, I checked the opening times and headed down again the next day. (This is almost an hour and a half round trip) Arrived and expected to see a retail store - nothing. Went through to the tap room expecting to see it in there - nope and the server told me to seat myself. I asked where the store was and he pointed past the door I’d just walked through, ok, apologies, I’d missed a sign somewhere and retreated back to where I’d just entered. Stood around for about 10mins, yes the server saw me standing there but nothing. Went and spoke to a very helpful chef who advised she’ll get the server to assist me 🤷🏼‍♀️. I knew what I wanted and when I was finally served they only had 1 out of the 3 beers I wanted. Fed up I bought what they had, the website states a mixed pack of 24 beers for $61.50, I bought 24 beers (3 different types) and was charged almost $90 and when I questioned it was basically told that’s the correct price. Definitely not worth the drive and wouldn’t...
