I hadn't ordered from Dunns in over a year and after receiving my order this evening I remembered why I stopped in the first place. I ordered a Super Combo Smoke Meat and a Dunns Famous Poutine which ended up being $39.00. It was hot, fresh, well prepared and came very quickly to take home and remained so until we got in. We open the box to see fries, a sandwich and no pickle, no slaw and no gravy/sauce for the fries AND the size of the Super Combo sandwich was wrong. Rather than being given a large sandwich which is clearly stated on the menu, we were given the smallest one offered which was disappointing, despite that it hot, soft and tasted great. Next was the Poutine, it comes in a rather large container but was only approximately 3/4 full. There was quite a bit of smoked meat chopped up in there, not enough fries and the worst of all, so little sauce that everything was very dry. Plenty of melted cheese on fries but with absolutely no sauce. I seem to recall another restaurant "coughMcDonaldscough" that has issues with given a normal amount of sauce in their Poutines for whatever reason and here Dunns is apparently competing for who can server the most dry Poutine on Taschereau BLVD.
Needless to say, for $39.00 worth of food, my girlfriend and I were very disappointed. We don't understand why restaurants charge so much for their food but at the same time act like they are stingy or running low on such basic ingredients like gravy, mayo or pickles..
One last time, Super Combo Smoked Meat, small sandwich instead of large, no slaw, no pickle and no gravy for fries (all of which are offered in the combo). Dunns Famous Poutine, 3/4 of the container full, good amount of smoked meat, not enough fries, good amount of cheese and absolutely no "famous" sauce to be found,...

⭐⭐⭐⭐
Visiting Dunn's was definitely a memorable dining experience! If you're in the mood for some seriously hearty portions and crave-worthy comfort food, Dunn's is your spot.
I've got to say, the Reuben sandwich and the onion rings here were top-tier. The Reuben had just the right balance of juicy corned beef, tangy sauerkraut, and creamy Russian dressing, all sandwiched between toasted rye bread. It was a flavor-packed punch in every bite that left me both delighted and satisfied.
And those onion rings! They were fried to crispy perfection. Crunchy on the outside, tender on the inside, and served up piping hot, they made for the perfect side.
While the portions were impressively generous (be ready to take some home!), I was slightly let down by the fries. They were a bit on the bland side and didn't quite live up to the flavor and texture of the other dishes.
That being said, the sheer size of the servings more than compensated for this minor hiccup. You're certainly getting a bang for your buck when it comes to quantity and, apart from the fries, the quality of the food was stellar.
The ambiance at Dunn's was casual and comfortable, making it a great spot for a laid-back lunch or dinner. The service was friendly and attentive, adding to the overall positive experience.
In summary, Dunn's serves up a feast of generous proportions and delicious flavors. While there's a little room for improvement with the fries, it doesn't overshadow the highlights of the meal – that excellent Reuben and the fantastic onion rings. I'd definitely recommend Dunn's for anyone with a hearty appetite and a craving for some satisfying comfort food. Just be ready for...

We are a group of 6 people, until now visitors who from time to time have supported this local business (far to Montreal's Smoked Meat Temples!). But HOW can you continue this, when quality is cut radically, while prices skyrocket?
Just a few examples: The bread of the smoked meat was cold for all of us, and the meat lukeish for 3 visitors.Reaction when politely mentioned:''YOU'RE THE FIRST WHO HAVE SAID THAT'!'. We felt that we partook in a bad Faulty Towers sketch...
Beverages: apart from the high price, which is OK for quality, but overall missing here, another sign of the degradation of the remainders of what Dunn's Tachereau once was. Just look in vain for their previously delicious Margaritas, now substituted with a distusting concoction called''TEQUILA LEMONADE'': Cheap lemonade, mixed with an amount of tequila that would make even Séraphin Poudriér (Quebec's Uncle Scrooge) declare it being too miserly. Only the cost is up in the roofbeams.. Seriously, in an age with way too many good eateries closing, this one here do NOT have any right whatsoever to continue.
We, 6 now former patrons, recommend you taking the 20 minutes trip to Montreal, and true Smoked Meat. Eating at Dunn's Tachereau will give locals,or out-of-towners, a bad impression of this often World Class local culinary highlight, so sadly molested here. You're warned; whatever coming 5*...
