Les Cafés Européens — Restaurant in Longueuil

Working at Place Longueuil makes you wonder if you haven't reached the lowest point a shopping centre can reach..... but when you realize that Les Cafés Européens exists and it's located inside this almost dead centre, it gets better.

This place has every single variety of coffee you could imagine. Being lactose intolerant, they have options like almond milk/soy milk/lactose-free milk (with an extra of 0,50$ I believe, which is standard for coffee shops). The staff is extremely friendly, they seem to get along very well and even ask you a bunch of questions and are genuinely interested in you as a client.

Also if you're an employee of the mall, they give a 10% discount I believe. The place has a rustic atmosphere and the music isn't too loud if you'd like to study there. They have a pretty big seating area.

I would definitely recommend trying their coffee, I know that they have a lot of different options and ones that you can take home as well, already...

My first visit was 5/5: I haven't tries the pastries so I cannot comment on those.

I had the ice latte with oat milk and mapple syrup. They do not charge extra for milk alternatives, yes on syrupa obviously.

I went back and the coffee was so bitter even though I asked for it to be sweet and the cashier laughed about the fact that I wanted maple syrup to her male coworker. Won't be returning

Super value for what you can get in a mall, while still receiving thoughtful ingredients and coffee. I order a croissant and nitro coffee, both were the quality I looked for and $8 altogether. Their menu has great unique options and a wide selection of baked goods, including seasonal flavors. My partner orders a trottoir du framboise which was a flakey pastry slab with sweet raspberry jam, and a dirty chai with brewed tea and fresh espresso. Glad I found this gem...
