Monsieur Taouk — Restaurant in Longueuil

There are hundreds of places like this in Montreal, including some big chains such as Basha and Boustan. They are almost the same - Same kind of food, same trios, same prices and they are mostly alright, nothing special.

This one , I never saw before! So, why 2 stars ? Well, basically they have the same price as the other ones but food isn’t as good, and it’s also less food than the others. As if that was not enough, they also don’t accept credit cards. I mean, if the goal here was to offer the client a better price by eliminating the credit card fee, I would be all for it, but it’s not! It’s the same price as the others (which is not cheap by the way). They just want pocket the cards fees on the clients expenses!

Needless to say, I don’t think there is any value on choosing this place on your next eating endeavours. It isn’t horrible, so it’s not 1 star, but there just isn’t...

I tried the mixed meat Shawarma to go. The portion here is huge. To start off the servers are very generous with the rice and potatoes. I’m happy as the potatoes are really really good. He filled the container with them. Not to worry then he piled the shaved meats on it. The heaps are so high that he can hardly close the box. I’ve been to many shawarma places in Quebec and Ottawa area. (See my other reviews) I think this place serves the biggest portion. He’s also generous with the sauce. “I had an incredible dining experience at the restaurant “Mr Taouk” in place Longueuil carrefour. The ambiance was warm in the huge food court and inviting. The staff was exceptionally friendly, attentive, and knowledgeable about the clear menu, which made us feel well taken care of throughout the meal.
