Silva Grillades — Restaurant in Longueuil

We used to go there many times before Covid-19 but last Wednesday was our first time back and we were there specifically for caldeirada but waiter blamed COVID and things not coming from Portugal. We were tired and hunger so we stayed. There was a dish that I liked but it had porc we asked if they can remove the pork, he came back said no because there 2 sides and it’s not worth it and to pick another dish. I ordered ABA and I said steak with mushrooms 30 minutes later he brings steak and shrimps. I told the lady bringing it I ordered steak and mushrooms she said I’ll call your waiter. He comes few minutes later (I’ve already started because I was hungry and we don’t have time to wait another 30 minutes) he comes, what’s the problem? Is there a problem here, I told him I ordered steak and mushrooms not this, he replied I’m sure you order steak and shrimp because I wrote it down and you said you want like your husband. I said no I’m 100% sure I ordered steak and mushrooms and it went back and forth and my husband told him she ordered steak and mushrooms I heard her too and he kept saying no and very close to calling me a lair. I never seen a waiter argue with the customer like this. And here on the comments every reply did you mention that problem to your waiter as if...

Food quality: excellent!

Food I ordered, and my rating: pasta of the day, it was tomato sauce, mushrooms and grilled chorizo

We had fried calamari appetisers, they were really good. Crispy on the outside and soft on the inside!

Food they ordered, and my rating: My sister got the grilled chicken, she says she liked it and it waa very good. Her boyfriend got the grilled salmon, he says 7 out of 10. My mom took the caesar salad and she says the chicken and salad was a bit dry, rate 7 out of 10.

Food presentation: beautiful

Service: very polite waiters, good water refills, there's one waiter called Marc-Antoine who was really good. He even got me the extra cheese i asked for! He forgot to let us know that there was a complimentary salad or soup as well as desserts. We got some tea he told us about though. Make sure to ask for these when you get a main course there :)

This one of my coup de Coeur. This restaurant is just amazing. It was a five star from the beginning to the end. Last minute St Valentin call around 17:30 and I got a table for 2 at 19:30. This is a very elegant restaurant, cuzy and relaxed. The staff is very friendly and the service top notch. They have very good selection of wine. For the Valentin the had a special menu. A tasty variety of tapas for entrée. The main course included soup or salad and dessert. We had for tapas the Grilled octopus and bean salad with olive oil and fleur de sel. This was smooth and toasty. For the main course we had lamb shank marinated in red wine for 5 hours accompanied with cooked kale, vegetables and smash potatoes with generous gravy. The price was worthy all the way for the experience.... I recommend this place for a romantic evening of a get...
