The Joker Pub — Restaurant in Longueuil

I love boardgames and boardgame bars so I was so excited to try this local place. My group was so disappointed. Service was terrible. We waited a long time for everything. I ordered desert, 3 chocolate chip cookies, and we were brought candy instead. They went to fix the error and 45 min later, still no cookies. We canceled the order as we were planning to leave. My friend ordered a Ceasar and everyone at the table agreed that it was the most bland, watered down Ceasar that we had ever tasted. Also we were definitely told that we would be charged $8 for access to the boardgames and animation. It was not said "per person". We were clearly told: "it will be $8 for playing." It was a shock to discover that it was $8 per person in addition to each person ordering food/drink (mandatory). With all the waiting (over 30 min before we were brought a game to play), we only played 1 game in the 2h that we were there. An animator did explain most of the game play but not all the rules. Game instructions paper was only in French... why not have the paper in both languages? Sadly we will not be back and I will not recommend this place to my...

Fantastic place! Atmosphere is enjoyable, not overly crowded or too loud so you can actually enjoy a night between friends. Good drink choice. Very good food. Reasonable prices. Large variety of games for everyone’s interest, loved the amount of co-op games. The staff were super friendly, helpful and knowledgeable. I greatly appreciated the bilingualism. Lots of English options and the staff really made an excellent effort to speak English. Even when I spoke to them in French they answered in English. Drink prices were average but the game selection isn't great (and most of the games we played were in very poor condition) and the food was both of poor quality, expensive and slow to order.

They seem to have a very large selections of games to buy, but the ones available to play were underwhelming. Also, they were in very poor condition: if there were cards, they were so worn half the pictures were gone and figurines were broken and ripped.

As for the food, my poutine took 2 hours to prepare and arrived with barely any gravy on it, the cheese was not fresh. Worst poutine...
