Burrito Jax — Restaurant in Lower Sackville

I used to enjoy Burrito Jax but it appears they are under new ownership and have compressed portions while inflating profits. Please don't waste your time going there if you're hungry...you'll leave "hangry"!

The bowls are now a smaller size bowl and the old "handfuls" you would get are now more like a "finger pinch" or "dash of" when it comes to the ingredients like you're putting ingredients in to bake a cake. All the spoons are smaller size for the salsa and the proteins are not only smaller quantity but certainly lack in quality. There is a reason why they hide the protein & portioning behind a wall you can't see through as they try and bag it up and ship you out before you notice. We looked before we left because there were so many issues trying to communicate that we wanted to make sure we received what we ordered. One bowl labelled steak had chicken & vice-versa. Asked the manager if we could just get refunded but they refused.

Trying to explain this as we were leaving, in a respectful way, led to getting frustrated and road blocks with communication so I'm hoping this review will avoid anyone else making the mistake that hasn't been...

This is going to be an entire overhaul of my review, since it has changed significantly since I used to come here frequently. At once, this used to be my favourite place to go. I used to constantly recommend this place to my friends, and I was always so happy with the food and the politeness of the staff.

I will most likely never be returning to this location ever again, after my wife and I came to pick up some food for the family. Staff were both not paying attention, and got the entire order wrong while constantly checking their phones. I can forgive mistakes, but I can't forgive not wearing gloves in a food handling environment, mixing all the condiments together with your bare hands, and worst of all, finding an inch long piece of broken off steel inside of my wife's food.

This is beyond unacceptable. What a waste of an order, and money.

You got all those good years out of me B.J. since you opened, but your staff now has no communication skills, or food...

I order a quesadilla from Burrito Jax on DoorDash from the Sackville location almost every day. A quesadilla comes with 1 pico and 1 sour cream plus I always order 2 extra sour cream. But unless I call them and remind them to put pico and sour cream in the bag, I don’t receive pico or sour cream. I called them and reminded them to not forget my pico and sour cream 5 days in a row so on the sixth day, I figured they should remember by now, so I didn’t call them and again I did not receive my pico and sour cream. So now I call them every single time I order because I want to make sure that I receive my pico and sour cream but today when I called, the guy was extremely rude, cut me off in the middle of my sentence and hung up on me. I no longer support this location and I will never be ordering...
