If it weren't for inconsistency of food and customer service, I'd give this place a 5. Sometimes the pizzas are very good, but sometimes sloppily put together.
Customer service could use some help. I'd say the majority of time, the delivery people are very friendly, but after experiencing the following, I highly doubt we'll order from here again. I put through an online order and noticed after the order receipt came through that potato skins did not go through. I decided to just do another order right away, hoping the restaurant would just add it to my previous order less than one minute before.
My original order came to our address, and I let the delivery person know that I had put through another order right away. She said she did not get that order. She was not friendly nor apologetic about the incident. She simply complained that it would take awhile to get the second order due to construction. That was fine with me.
Nearly three hours went by, and I called Pizzatown. The guy on the phone was similarly not helpful nor friendly. If there's one thing to not do in customer service it is to question the veracity of what the customer is saying. I had and still have the online receipt in my email for the second order. The guy on the phone said it was not in their ordering system online. He did not offer to try to fix anything, redo the order, offer any sort of help whatsoever. We got charged, and he was unable or unwilling to do anything but say to dispute the charge.
I was friendly myself and apologetic throughout these exchanges, thinking it was my fault for doing a second order right away and just assuming they would see it and deal with it on their end. It almost feels to me like they saw the second order and the driver had already gone out and they just decided it wasn't...
Read moreWoowzers! Not sure if it was an off night for the cook tonight or what. Start by saying I’ve ate here a few times and it’s always been great, never had any complaints, tonight however was a huge exception. I ordered a “grilled” chicken cesar salad around $22 not cheap at all, my order came out and it was a massive plate of salad, the size was quite impressive; however the quality was not. First of all I hate complaining, I find it embarrassing and I don’t like doing it. However the chicken alone was terrible, soggy, mushy baby food texture and it was so overly dressed I was basically spooning out the extra dressing. My waitress was accommodating at first, asking if I wanted something else or a replacement but at the point it had turned my stomach and I didn’t want anything else. She ended up saying she wouldn’t charge me; great as the salad was awful! After a few minutes she returned to mention that everyone in the kitchen had tried the chicken and it tasted absolutely fine and it must’ve just been me that felt that way. I asked her how the chicken was prepared cause it was suppose to be “grilled chicken” and for $22 I was expecting like grilled chicken breast like most places offer. She informed me it was bagged chicken that they buy and just heat up on the grill, well that basically spoke for itself right there. I won’t be back, they have an attitude that is very much; we all like it so you should and there’s nothing wrong with it, so why are you complaining? Don’t serve a $9 dollar salad and charge me $22 for something I could’ve bought at Sobeys in the produce section and don’t expect me to complain. All of our food was terrible tonight, the table next to us said the same thing, that the food was terrible and something was “off” in...
Read moreSo we were told to try Pizzatown for donairs as we were back in the city having been gone for many years. We had tried KOD and Pizzaland and were saddened by the product. We first went to the Pizzatown Lakeside LAKESIDE: I ordered three small with the works, meat thinly cut and well done. We were told that the meat is presliced so the thickness can't change. So be it. I still got them. They took about ten minutes and they were ready, probably because the frozen meat from the bag was quick to prepare. I was told to hold the bag upright as there was sauce that could get messy. Better beleive it. The tasteless sauce was runny like water. The meat was not well done but it was ok. Everything was drenched. The extra sauce was like water in the container. LOWER SACKVILLE: this donair was much better. We ordered three large, meat welldone with the works with sauce on the side. I was told that they would take a minute as the welldone meat takes time. They gave me a pager and said that I could have a seat. I waited for the page. Once the chime came through i jumped in anticipation. The donairs came in sealed containers with a pizza box full of donair sauce. The meat was excellent, if it was frozen I couldn't tell. The sauce was tasty and had a great consistency. They were the best donairs we have had, hands down. Go to Lower Sackville. I can't compare to any other Pizzatown other than Lakeside but Lakeside sucks, Lower...
