I was craving for a poutine and hotdogs. A basic traditional hotdog and poutine. And this place hit the spot right on. When you order the meal, they ask if you want steamed or grilled. I chose grilled and they did not charge extra like many places do now. That to me counts in good service. Give what the Customer wants and stop charging extra for no real valid reason. The poutine of the trio is a little small but I find that it’s a good size as no one should eat more than that really 😛 The price is fair. The dining area is small but very old school diner. Gotta love it. I only removed 1 star because the tray area drop off looked a little too much. Like a cafeteria. But I’m just being picky. Besides that, definitely swing by if you have a craving. Nice staff, good food with...
Read moreWell where do I start.... After reading the amazing reviews on this place, I am very very disappointed to say the least. We ordered a smoke meat sandwich but it turned out to be a lesser quality of pastrami. We also ordered steamies and didn't get them dressed the way we wanted. The coleslaw wasn't coleslaw but just cut up pieces of raw cabbage with no condiments in it. The only good part were the fries. The price is not cheap either for what u get. Some things in life u just have to experience for yourself and not read too much into the reviews. Hopefully we will get better luck...
Read moreA tiny little cantine (aptly named) on the Main Street in Magog. Not sure why it is so highly reviewed. Food is basic and underwhelming although portions are huge (if you are into stuffing your face with poutine). We ordered a smoked meat sandwich with fries and a hot dog. Again, nothing to write home about. I guess it is worth a visit because it is such a landmark in Magog with the tourists lined up around the corner (it caught our attention). Prices are quite cheap. It is very small with only a few tables, so take out might be more recommended. Note: they don’t take credit cards so bring...
