We drove all the way from Laval to Magog, excited to finally try Les Moulins Lafayette after reading all the rave reviews. Big mistake.
First off, they donât even bother giving you bags to carry your food â apparently, thatâs too much to ask. My wife bought dinner for both of us, and as she was walking out, one of the boxes slipped and fell right in front of their door. The staff saw everything. When she went back inside, politely asking if they could at least help or replace it, the âownerâ suddenly found the perfect hiding spot⊠behind the fridge. Meanwhile, the girl at the counter simply refused to do anything.
Talk about customer service â or rather, the complete lack of it. Clearly, once they take your money, youâre on your own. They donât care if you drop it at the door, or if your meal gets wasted. We were so disgusted with this attitude that we left and ate elsewhere.
If you want to spend your money at a place where the staff hides instead of helping and where the motto seems to be âtake the cash and runâ, then this is the spot for you. Otherwise, do yourself a favor...

Since they were closed until the last day of our stay, we visited the grocery store Avril and ended up having an amazing croissant, sandwich, and cookies there. Il sâagit dâun manquement sĂ©rieux aux normes de qualitĂ© et de salubritĂ© que tout Ă©tablissement alimentaire se doit de respecter rigoureusement. Ce genre de nĂ©gligence est non seulement inacceptable, mais aussi potentiellement dangereux pour la santĂ© des consommateurs.
Par ailleurs, Ă©tant intolĂ©rant au lactose, jâai expressĂ©ment demandĂ© un sandwich sans fromage. On mâa alors affirmĂ© que cela ne posait aucun problĂšme et que le fromage serait retirĂ© lors de la prĂ©paration. MalgrĂ© cette assurance, le sandwich que jâai reçu contenait tout de mĂȘme du fromage. Cette erreur, bien quâelle puisse sembler mineure, dĂ©montre un manque de sĂ©rieux dans la prise en compte des restrictions alimentaires, ce qui est particuliĂšrement prĂ©occupant dans le domaine de lâalimentation.
