The kids weren’t the only thing terrible. We went on mother’s day, on the recommendation of my mother who had been two years ago. We were ten in our group. Service was slow, despite not being busy, but very polite. Had a 5:30 reservation, left around 8-8:15 despite not having desert. They set out bread for us, which was frozen in the middle. They returned it to the kitchen, but came back again crispy on the outside but frozen still. The 1/2 burrata had a stalk of broccoli, a quarter carrot, a sliver of zucchini with a toast cut in half, with the burrata and romesco… I would call it a salad, and it wasn't very filling as a main. The fish and chips felt like it was cooked from frozen, as the batter was a little weird. Not crispy, almost soggy. One of our burgers was charred on the outside and pinkish on the inside (not hot). The cesar salad’s chicken was fridge temperature cold. The Mac and Cheese did contain a lot of cheese, but the kids didn’t seem to like it. The service was slow, the cesar salad was served 5-10 minutes after the other mains. The ambiance was nice, but the meal was extremely disappointing. We didn’t get the feeling that anything had been prepared fresh or on site, even the fries. For the price, we would have expected better fare. I gave two stars because my son liked his burger and entree, and because when I asked for a switch on the gin in their Pear Fizz, the waiter turned me towards a local Gin (Cherry River), which I had with a tonic, and it was quite good. The evening ended with our mother apologizing repeatedly for recommending this restaurant. Which is not how mother’s day is...
Read moreWhere do I even begin? We went to the rooftop for a birthday dinner. We made a reservation and showed up with several tables available near the water but the hostess insisted that those table were reserved for other parties and gave us a table closest to the entrance. Not long after, we overheard a group show up and state that they had no reservation and guess where the hostess sat them! At the table facing the water that was supposedly reserved. The hostess was a red head ish girl. Miserable one.
It took 1h30 minutes to get our appetizers: which was one sharing platter (8 oysters; two tartars, six shrimps and tuna tataki). No plates were given. It took 30 minutes for a Negroni and Aperol spritz’s to be made.
The food was atrocious. My stomach is not okay as I’m writing this lol
They did not clear our table the entire time. We had to push our dishes to the end of the table.
Overall; $100+ PP, you are better off anywhere else but here UNLESS you just want to enjoy the view with a few drinks. But then again, a Negroni is the easiest cocktail to make and they couldn’t even get that right
I’ll add though, our waitress was a doll and honestly it was as if she had 0...
Read moreDon't expect to receive the same service as in Montreal. My wife and I visited the restaurant last Sunday. We were the first table being served before other customers started coming in. We waited for 30 minutes for our order only to find out that it was delivered to the wrong table (who also had to make some adjustments to their/our order). There is no proper communication between staff (the person who takes the orders and the person delivering them). I would understand for such an error to occur if the restaurant was too busy, but we were around 4 or 5 tables at that time. Management should better train their employees (I don't blame the waiter for this). When the waiter approached us apologizing for the error, I requested to cancel the order and to pay for my drink and leave. I expected him to refuse the payment and keep it on the house as a nice gesture to compensate for the error, but instead he charged me $5 (again, training needed here). On the bright side, I read from another reviewer that he once got poisoned from having tartar at E.T, so we might have been saved by some divine...
