Jimmy's Kitchen — Restaurant in Maple Creek

First of all, I would like to say their food is very good. I had the fried chicken and my partner had the panzerotti. It was unfortunate as I wanted to try chicken and waffles with honey butter but they did not have waffles or honey butter. The biggest unfortunate event was how the covid safety protocols were not being followed. The cook was wearing his mask but our waiter was wearing it below his mouth, on top of allowing customers to roam around the restaurant and bar with a mask on either. We were staying at the attached motel and we're happy to hear of this convenient restaurant right next door that was supposed to have great pizza (according to reviews). We entered (about 5 pm on a September Tuesday) and we're the only people in the restaurant. One older man was at the pick up counter...the cashier/server was talking with him. A sign on the counter stated " NO CASH"...but it appeared the men were sorting through a pile of loose coins. We waited at a table for 5 minutes (ignored). Wondered if we were supposed to go up to the counter to pick up our own menus; waited another 4 minutes (ignored) and then just left. So that was our experience...

Driving home from BC to ON and looking for a place for dinner. We stopped in at Jimmy's Kitchen. Man are we glad we did. My husband and I got Bacon Cheese burgers that were huge and made from scratch at the restaurant. My son had the Taco poutine and it was massive! Everything was delicious and fresh. The lovely lady behind the counter was even from ON so she knew where our home town was. So fortunate to have stopped at Jimmy's Kitchen, so sad to know that great food is now...
