I went to the Coco Fresh Tea and Juice and placed an order a bit before noon today on January 29, 2025.
The customer service (a lady - about 5'4 and in her middle age, body build above average weight, Mandarin speaking) was very rude and I asked for her name. She refused to give me her name. I asked to speak with her supervisor and she told me to speak with another lady at the store. Indeed, she, herself, who served me was the supervisor.
As she refused to give me her name, I took a picture as I planned to email to the head office to file my complaint. She demanded that I delete the picture and she said it is her privacy to take a picture inside the store (which is opened to public and there are surveillance cameras in the store and we the customers are also being recorded?). I suggested she call the police. She did not call the police but she instructed the other worker not to give out my drinks until I deleted the picture (in her Mandarin and her behavior is very low). I don't speak Mandarin but I can understand a bit. I spoke to her in English and she responded to me in English all the time. She spoke in other languages when the customer does not speak that language (and it just so happens I can understand a little bit). I told her to refund me and she refused. She again advised the male worker not to give me the drinks until I deleted the picture. The other lady also told me to delete the picture and they both assured me to delete the picture permanently. They demanded to look into my phone. I felt that these two ladies tried to retain me in the store and my child is under 18 of age.
I went to the York Region Police Station after that. The Police Officer confirmed that I can take the picture and they have no rights to demand that I delete the picture on my phone. The picture I took has been shared with Coco Fresh Tea and Juice head office.
I also just tried to call the store to inquire when the owner or manager will be back. They hung up on me twice.
Lastly, I decided to dispose all the 4 drinks I got from this place.
As of February 2, 2025, the owner or the a manager of this franchise store still has not reached out to me via email.    Read moreordered through their app today. Arrived their store after a text message saying my drinks is ready to be picked up. I aked if my drinks are ready but no one answer. I am the only customer in the store but None of the 4 staff is greeting me during the 10 minutes waiting. At this time, 3 customers walk into the store to order; 3 out of the 4 customers picked up their drinks while I am still waiting. Finally a staff asked me about my order number which i told her. This staff then continues to serve more walk in customers. The same staff asked me the second time my order number; I told her again and even showed her the email receipt. She looked around and continues to do make drinks. A minute later she asked me if my order number are 138, i said no, it's 136, she then found my drinks in between a bunch of take out orders---which is ready when I walk in. When handed me my drinks she said "don't come in if you haven't received the text message".
Don't come to this location! This is the WORST COCO store!! Awful customer service and staff are very rude as of you owe them a million dollars.
I order their bbt at least twice a week and I love their drinks. But I will not come to this location again. Management needs to retrain their staff. I would go to the Alley in the same plaza or the location at Kennedy/Hwy 7.

   Read moreMy kids bought the Oct month special- the Taro milk tea from Coco at this location after school on Tue. Shockingly we found a small unknown plastic from the drink!! She almost bit on it and luckily she was able to spit it out from her mouth otherwise I couldn't imagine what would happen if she swallowed it! We don't even know what it is.... it is hard and solid, and it definitely shouldn't belong to this drink! It could have caused choking or other serious problem to my children!
I am very mad and sent a note to the customer service on Cocos website on Wed. It took them 1 day to come back to me to just ask for the photos (cause on the website there was no photo attachment function), then it took them another day to reply to me said that they just forwarded the photos to the store manager.... The lady kept asking for my phone no. but I told her I am comfortable to use email to communicate with them instead which I don't believe it would be a problem at all in nowadays! Up to today (Sat) I haven't gotten any further responses from them and all I asked for was just an apology/explanation and a refund to this particular drink that maybe harmful to my child.
