Pizza Nova — Restaurant in Markham

Wow. I'm genuinely surprised by the horrible avg rating this place has on Yelp! Although I will caveat that by saying I didn't dine in or order at the store but rather online w/ my friends.

We ordered pizzas on a late sat night to curb some cravings and did not have much issue ordering off the site.

My friend said pickup was very smooth and the pizza itself turned out pretty good in all honesty!

The crust was nice and airy, the toppings were well cooked and the tomato sauce wasn't as bitter as I'm accustomed to pizza nova sauce tasting. Side note: it was also my first time trying activated charcoal dough pizza!

Strictly from a late night pickup point of view, there didn't seem to be any mistreatment or bad customer service when my friend went to grab the pizzas, so I can't comment on the supposedly rude owner or workers that a lot of others have mentioned in their...

Usually enjoy the quality of the pizzas at this location. However, last time, one of our medium pizzas was not what we ordered. And since the box was sealed, we did not check it when we picked it up and only realized when we got home. Paid for a two ingredient pizza and got only a cheese pizza. It was too much trouble to call or re-order or go back since it was dinner time. It's disappointing when you look forward to what you order and then get something else that is much inferior.

The people there are very rude. They seem like don't want to serve walk in customers. I were there to ask one of them for the combo on their menu, he told me there ain't any combo. I show him the menu, then he said just the medium pizza. I told him that there are three toppings I can choose from the menu and a 10 pieces chicken pollini or wings is included for a total of $23.99. The guy seems very unhappy to take my order.
