George's Tastee Food Corporation — Restaurant in Markham

I feel the portions are generous for the price and the food was good enough, however the restaurant staff are rude and unfriendly. The young guy manning the grill is impatient and rolls his eyes at the customers. Granted one guy ordered his sandwich then left to go look at bread so the guy had to call him over to ask if he wanted gravy etc. Grill man asked another customer which kind of gravy and he again was impatient when she answered "it doesn't matter". Apparently there is a choice between regular gravy, oxtail, curry etc. Give a person a chance to take all the options in! My feelings are, you are going to meet many different, scattered, preoccupied customers throughout the day, so if you as staff are going to get bent out of shape, roll your eyes and sigh, you may want to find another job. On the plus side, staff in the store side of the business selling frozen patties are extremely welcoming...

Ain't called "Tastee" for nothing! I keep coming back here for patties, every time I drive by. I'm a total junkie. I even ask my employees to grab some for me if they're driving by. I got my daughter addicted too. Their patties have the perfect flakiness in the crust, the spices are perfectly balanced in spiciness & flavour, and there's actual beef in them patties, but it doesn't ooze out all over your shirt when you chomp down on them! What a beauty of modern culinary engineering! Perfectly safe for eating while you're driving, as long as you don't close your eyes while your tastebuds are bathed in pure extactic delight. And at $1.50 per patty, you can afford to gorge yourself! Go ahead, order a dozen! You can always zap them in the microwave for lunch tomorrow. Just get past the corny artwork on the side of the building and...

Know this establishment as George's Tastee Bread.... I've frequented George's for almost 40 years, in my opinion they make the best Patties (Jamaican), the taste is consistent which to me means you're never disappointed when you bite into one of them. They made sure you can select the type that would suit your pallet eg. If you prefer vegan, beef, chicken, spicy etc. The variety of their bread selection is not overwhelming, it would be worth the while to sample this tasty product.
