Big thanks to our servers Aria and Eason! ❤️
I've visited Gyubee Japanese BBQ more than a dozen times, and it consistently delivers an exceptional dining experience. The quality and taste of the food always meet my expectations, offering a delightful array of flavours that are truly commendable. The recent menu upgrade has added even more options, which I absolutely adore.
The staff at Gyubee are consistently friendly and attentive, ensuring that each visit is enjoyable. Their quick response time and attention to detail enhance the overall dining experience. Whether it's explaining the menu options or promptly refilling our drinks, their service is always top-notch.
One downside, however, is that Gyubee does not accept bookings for parties of two. This means I always have to make sure I join the waitlist in advance to avoid waiting in line for up to two hours during dinner time. It can be a bit inconvenient, but the delicious food and great service make it worth the effort.
I usually visit Gyubee for casual dinners with friends and family, and it never disappoints. The atmosphere is lively, and the all-you-can-eat concept allows us to try a variety of dishes without feeling rushed. From the perfectly grilled meats to the fresh vegetables and tasty sauces, everything is consistently delicious.
In summary, Gyubee Japanese BBQ is one of my favourite dining spots. The combination of high-quality food, friendly service, and a great atmosphere keeps me coming back. If you're planning to visit, especially as a couple, I highly recommend getting on the waitlist early to ensure a smooth dining experience. Despite the waitlist issue, Gyubee remains a top choice for an enjoyable and flavourful meal.

Read moreWhen my date and I showed up, we were seated promptly, although we came around noon on a Saturday. You'll find that the later in the day you go, the longer the wait you have. To assist with this, there's a wait list in Google or Yelp. It is HIGHLY recommended to check the wait list before showing up.
Once we were seated, the seating we were given was right in front of the air conditioner, which I was not okay with as it was very cold. I asked to move and was not given any grief at all. We moved to a much more accommodating seat.
We ordered a lot of meats, but found that we didn't have a limit on the amount of initial plates you order, which is great as some places only allow you to order so much at once. Obviously you cook your own food, so can't comment on the quality of the outcome as that's all on you.
What I can comment on is our waiter Nathan. He did a fantastic job. Always made sure the water was full, was always available for us to order more food, didn't judge when my boyfriend ordered literally 7 desserts.
Also, at one point when he was clearing the napkins, he grabbed the napkin with my retainer in it and I didn't notice until he came back 30 seconds later apologising for grabbing it.
Also, everyone that works there looks so happy and are constantly cracking jokes (not in English, but it doesn't matter). Truly one of the best AYCE Japanese BBQ places I've ever been.
Thank you Nathan for your incredible service and attention to detail.
For the restaurant, when a table orders like 10 combined total desserts, perhaps bring 1 metal spoon for each person and not 1 wooden spoon per dessert. Just makes more sense, considering the "reduce" portion of the reduce, reuse, recycle aspect of the environment. Plus... It'll save...

I had a really disappointing experience at Gyubee recently. My party and I had called ahead and were told our table would be ready between 7:00 and 7:15 pm, but to our surprise, we received a notification at 6:00 pm that our table was ready. Feeling pressured to secure our spot, one person from our party rushed over to check in.
Unfortunately, no one informed us that the two-hour time limit to dine started as soon as she sat down—even though she was the only one there and the rest of the party hadn’t yet arrived. Had we known this, we would have waited to sit until we were all present, especially since Gyubee is an all-you-can-eat grill restaurant where cooking the food yourself takes time.
When we raised this issue with the manager, we were met with a frustrating response: “this is our store policy.” We weren’t even given the chance to fully explain our situation. Worse still, when we tried to offer feedback, the manager simply laughed it off, which felt completely unprofessional and dismissive.
Later, while we were still eating, the same manager brought us the bill and said we’d have an extra 15 minutes after paying to finish our meal. But not long after, she returned to say we had to leave because another party was waiting. This felt rushed, unfair, and downright stressful.
What was supposed to be an enjoyable dinner turned into a frustrating experience of trying to eat quickly just to avoid being forced out early. It’s clear Gyubee needs to improve their communication about time limits and treat their customers with more respect. I wouldn’t recommend dining here unless you want to feel rushed...
