If I could give zero stars, I would. I had the unfortunate experience of hiring Trina for my wedding, and it was nothing short of a nightmare. This was supposed to be a day celebrating my culture, my love of hanfu, and a joyful occasion with my friends and family. Instead, Trina turned it into a deeply uncomfortable and distressing experience.

To start, Trina was shockingly unprofessional, dismissive, and outright rude in her interactions with me and my bridal party. When I initially made an inquiry, she provided me with the standard prices which I agreed to. After providing me with these prices she asked if this was for a wedding and I said yes. She then got upset because she said wedding prices are different. I asked her what the difference in terms of the service she provides and she said the wedding package comes with hair accessories. I had already bought hair accessories and extensions for myself and all my bridesmaids so I said that’s not needed. From that point on I felt she was resentful that she gave me the regular price because she kept on bringing up that I didn’t pay the wedding price. I’m not too sure why I would pay a higher price when I got the standard service that she gave me to begin with.

Out of all my vendors. Trina was the most difficult to work with. I reached out multiple times with urgent questions regarding our timeline, only to be ignored or met with evasive answers. There was zero regard for our needs or requests, which is especially upsetting when I didn’t get any answers until a few days before my wedding when my wedding coordinator was deeply concerned. I had voiced my concerns over phone and instagram messages. Given that this was one of the most important days of my life Trina showed little care for me and my party.

After the make up trial, I wasn’t too thrilled with the make up, the make up artist had trouble because I have dryer skin so I bought my own foundation and base to use which did eventually solve the problem. I also wanted the make up to be adjust for the wedding day so I sent a PDF with a detailed instructions on the location, parking and the looks I wanted for everyone.

It was evident on the day of that this PDF was never reviewed as Trina called me the morning of my wedding when she reached my condo demanding to know where she should go and saying how she got no instructions.

The make up artists that Trina brought with her were lovely people and although I had some issues with the make up I was honestly going to let it all go because I'm not expecting perfection.

The reason I'm writing this review now is because Trina's behaviour was not just discourteous but crossed into inappropriate territory. She made my bridesmaid feel uncomfortable with the aggressive way she removed her outfit when she said the outfit wasn’t worn right. The outfit was actually worn correctly. When we tried to bring this to her attention, Trina at first apologized. However when my bridesmaid asked for a refund for her hair and make up, Trina became defensive and showed no accountability for her actions. This was the only vendor who created such an upsetting atmosphere among all of my wedding vendors.

My bridesmaids and I were left feeling disregarded, disrespected, and honestly appalled by her attitude and conduct. Trina was abrasive, unkind, and simply unfit to work in any setting that requires even a minimum level of professionalism and respect.

I cannot stress enough: if you are looking for someone who will be respectful, reliable, and courteous on your big day, please, please look elsewhere. Trina managed to cast a dark shadow over what should have been a beautiful celebration, and I would never want another bride to go through what I did. I hope others read this and avoid the stress, discomfort, and utter disappointment that Trina brought...

Visiting Siruplum was truly a dream come true! Growing up watching TVB dramas and C-Dramas, I have always been captivated by the elegance of hanfu, and thanks to Siruplum, I finally had the chance to wear one. It was an experience I will cherish.

The owner was not only incredibly kind but also deeply knowledgeable about hanfu. I was genuinely impressed by her expertise on attire from different dynasties. When I found that the initial hanfu I tried didn’t fit quite right, she graciously offered me a special piece that suited me.

Her attention to detail was remarkable. The hairstyle she created for me was absolutely exquisite! She spent time thoughtfully selecting the right accessories to complete my look, ensuring everything was cohesive and true to the style. One small regret I have is not bringing my grandmother’s bangle to wear during this experience, as it would have made the day even more memorable.

The sets and backgrounds at Siruplum were beautifully crafted, providing the perfect ambiance. I also thoroughly enjoyed their lovely tea set during my visit. The traditional desserts weren’t overly sweet, allowing me to savour their authentic flavours.

Thank you, Siruplum, for making my dream a reality! I highly recommend this experience to anyone interested in exploring the richness of...

Siruplum is a hidden gem of a studio that will transport you to a variety of eras within Chinese history with their impressive variety of costumes and accessories, as well as their traditional tea and desserts. They have a wide array of elaborate sets which provide plenty of opportunity to play around with diverse concepts and themes. If you have the opportunity to work with the lead photographer, Mike, I cannot recommend him enough. He is an incredibly skillful photographer who understands the many different elements that contribute to a good photo (e.g., lighting, angles, posing, expressions, etc.) and moreover, he knows how to make all of his clients feel comfortable.

While they do offer many beautiful Chinese-inspired sets, Siruplum also experiments with other romantic and Westernized themes as well! The studio designs and makes custom sets. They create new sets every month, making this place worth multiple visits. I would highly recommend Siruplum to cosplayers, content creators, or anyone who is enchanted with the idea of stepping into another...

Amazing experience - quality and beautiful hanfu. We were a group of 3 and we had the tea, make-up, and hair done. The ladies took their time to do our makeup and hairs - selecting things that went with the hanfu we chose and gave us options. The makeup artist is amazing and made our face look so elegant. We felt amazing, beautiful, and fulfilled our childhood dreams of dressing up in such beautiful clothing. The sets for taking photos were great. Also, lots of props. Well worth the price. I bought a hanfu for home afterwards as well. Very dedicated and passionate staff and owner. Definitely recommend.
