We have always enjoyed everything about India's Taste Markham West. This time we decided to try the new India's Taste Markham East because it is closer to our home. We ordered take out to add multiple sides to our Thanksgiving family dinner. The staff treated us very well on the phone and at the store. They were always patient, friendly, and willing both to explain and to assist us with our menu selections. One staff member in particular went out of her way to be extra kind and generous to our Thanksgiving table with large servings, extra pakora, and naan. It's hard to believe, but the quality of the food seemed even to have surpassed the high, high standards of Markham West. Everyone at our table commented on how delicious each and every dish was and how well each complemented our Indian spice marinated turkey (my wife's specialty). Not to be forgotten are the sweets. Our daughters love the gulab jamun and a box of assorted sweets is always a must for after dinner. Many thanks to India's Taste Markham East. You helped to make our Thanksgiving feast even...
Read moreWe used to come here with family and friends. After a while and renovations we were in the neighborhood and decided to try it again.
Sadly the food quality is not good, feels like warmed up watered down leftovers, no real layers of authentic flavor even mall food is better and that’s saying a lot.
And for a buffet that was dead 2 tables only, they didn’t bring naan despite asking many times and ignored requests and gave our table one naan cut in quarters twice 🤦♀️ that’s not even one full small naan per person.
Only good thing was the naan but not paying $30 per person to eat a quarter naan and a plate of food that’s not good.
Although not buffet, but there are much better options in the area with much better quality so safe to say we will not...
Read moreTried the basic items like samosa, masala tea, fried rice because we didn’t wanted to take risk after going through the reviews. Staff is friendly, no complaints on their part. It’s the food which was average but could’ve been much better. Samosa felt like it was purchased from nearby walmart. Same goes for tea even though prior instructions were given on how to make it. charged extra for fresh tea but the taste was average. Fried rice was good but quantity is very less. Side chutneys - pudina and raita were amazing. Overall, I won’t say don’t try this place but please try to work on quantity and the taste because Indian food is the...
