I phoned the bakery to order a Black Forest cake, but they were not making it any more. So I ordered a Chestnut and to be picked up at 5pm. By the time I picked up the cake and I wanted to redeem 2 of those 'wedding card ' or the gift cards which worth $24 (I have to the difference by cash). There was a chubby Chinese woman said I couldn't use those cards because I ordered the cake by phone and they had done the order processed by machine' (?) and it was the company policy. So she could not allow me to use the card. She said I could only buy those cake s on the counter. I said the card didn't mention those rules and it was not fair for the customer. They won't know there was such kind of company policy. And that woman whose name was Anita said there were some other restrictions too. Finally I didn't buy that cake I ordered and bought another cake from another bakery which ended up in a very interesting story but I don't want to mention here. Ok. It is an issue for people who want to buy wedding cards' as gift for their relatives and friends. They will experience the same bad treatment from this bakery like me. You guys better think about it before they buy the cards. For me I should rate this experience was a -5 stars for that Anita for her very`helpful' service and for the 'not that good for customer'...

Was in the plaza yesterday and saw there was a Lucullus bakery. Have bought bakery from the Richmond Hill location and have enjoyed it so decided to buy a few items from this Markham location.

We were there in the late afternoon about an hour before closing so understandably there was hardly any selection left. We ended up purchasing 2 items as the other choices didn’t look appetizing. The lady behind the counter was not friendly at all. She was sporting a scowl made us feel very unwelcome.

We bought: Sesame bun- the sesame tasted good, and had a decent amount in the bun but the bun itself was hard and dry. I’ve bought bakery at the end of the day from other places and it did not taste hard and dry.

BBQ pork bun: ok amount of pork, same thing with the bun. Hard and dry.

There are so many Chinese bakery options in the GTA that is much better than is one. I will not be returning to this location for...

I heard about this bakery from my friend (although he usually goes to the Richmond Hill location and assumed it’s a chain and the quality would be relatively the same) and I happen to drive past the Markham location and I went around 530pm just before close. There was pretty much nothing left. No options really except one BBQ pork bun with onions and a black sesame sticky ball with walnuts. I got both and ended up really enjoying the taste of both of them. I’m giving this place a 3 star because of the lack of options available and the fact that the staff seemed like she wanted me out of there ASAP and wasn’t friendly at all. I’m curious to see the other options and the fresh baked goods available first thing in the morning when...

Finally had the chance to visit this place. They have the best sticky rice wrap in lotus leaves IMO compare to some dim sum places where portions are mostly rice. There's plenty of filling to rice ratio. It's a hearty meal in itself. It's also avaliable frozen and you can steam it at home. Also can't go wrong with egg tarts. There's 2 types avaliable but can't go wrong with the flaky crust. There is hot food avaliable but would have to ask the staff. Didn't see any on display and didn't know until a lady behind me ordered 2 hot foods. It's a small bakery but still has a lot of variety of buns options. One side of the bakery has a seating area for you to enjoy your delicious baked goods while sipping on a hot/ cold drink.
