Ms.Sweet Tooth Bakery — Restaurant in Markham

When my wedding planner - Alicia de Vita - told me that Ms Sweet Tooth’s cakes are the “best I have personally tasted” I trusted her 100% and I am glad I did. I love cake so much that it is often the thing I am most excited about when I am invited to an event. Because of this, one of my biggest pet peeves is cakes that look gorgeous but are not tasty - you know the ones that are super dry and tasteless.

All this to say, Ms Sweet Tooth’s cake was not disappointing. Our wedding cake was moist, flavourful and delicious. The buttercream was not too sweet but not too oily/buttery with the absence of flavour. I asked for the Fiori Di Sicilia flavour cake (citrus, with notes of orange & vanilla) with vanilla icing and pistachio crunch filling and pastry cream. In discussing our options she told me that she had never done that specific cake/filling combination before but thought it would be good. I LOVED it and so did our guests. Everyone commented on how delicious the cake was. It was also visually stunning. I asked for a simple tired cake with vintage piping and with only that brief description and a couple of inspo pics, she nailed it.

I have attached some pictures so you can see how beautiful the cake truly was, and how happy we were. I believe she does tasting boxes a few times a year, so I didn’t actually taste our cake beforehand, but luckily I trusted the review of my planner and it paid off. I first tried Michele's baking when she made a cake for my bridal shower and the taste was unbelievable not to mention how beautiful it looked decorated with pressed flowers- right on theme! Everyone was obsessed and from there I chose her to do our wedding cake the exact same flavour that's how much I loved it! She is not only amazing to work with and gives great advice for style- she was patient and accommodating knowing how indecisive I was in style. Update: my wedding cake was just as amazing as my shower cake and I can officially say I have Michele to help with occasion cakes for life! It was everything we wanted and more and it couldn't have been more delicious. We went with her incredible buttercream with blueberry compote filling and blueberries and lemon on top! To be very honest it was just a coincidence finding Sweet Tooth Bakery on Google map and guess what! THIS IS AN ABSOLUTE HIDDEN GEM!

I ordered a cake from her for my boyfriend’s bday and everyone loves it and had their seconds! As a picky eater myself, this is a job well done from inside to outside, I just gave her my ideas and left her room to design the rest. The cake was very moist and not overly sweet. It totally took away the quote “pretty cake doesn’t taste good” in my head.

After the successful cake she made, I decided to try more bakery from her so I ordered some donuts for my next house party. As a mama myself nothing can delight you more than the smiles on all the kid’s faces. Fortunately I ordered more than enough so they can pack their 2nd home. AND my bf had 4 of those!
