Pizza Nova — Restaurant in Markham

What happened to pizza? It used to be a hot, delicious, cheesy treat that arrived at your door. Now the delivery man won't show the pizza until you pay. What should you tip? Was the pizza upside down? Is it my pizza? With delivery fee and tip, I paid $50 for a medium pizza and 10 wings. FIFTY DOLLARS. I ordered my pizza "well done" which, in the past meant an extra minute in the oven to brown the crust. Nice! Last night's pizza was simply over cooked or forgotten. What happened to tomato sauce and cheese? Corporate greed? I ordered EXTRA cheese and paid for it but could barely detect regular cheese - and "cheese pull"? - not a cm. What kind of cheese are they using? I added my own mozzarella at home and it looked nothing like what was on my pizza. I had to cut off the crust because it was too tough to chew. I ordered mushroom, onion and green pepper - these vegetables must have been shaved, they were so thin. I wanted to reward myself for a hard day's work - disappointing.

Can someone recommend a place to order pizza with ample sauce, cheese and toppings ... that doesn't depend on who's in the kitchen?

The only reason I’m giving more than 1 star is because the pizza is fantastic.

Pizza nova uses Uber eats to increase the reach of their business. They don’t want Uber to get too big of a cut so they use their own employees to deliver the pizza via Uber.

When I use Uber eats I choose the “leave at door” option. I don’t care to talk to anyone after a long day of work and we’re in the middle of a pandemic. Luther rang on my doorbell and after 2 minutes starts walking away with my pizza about to leave. So I open the door and he starts raising his voice approaching me saying he was waiting for so long. I don’t care that he’s an employee of pizza nova I ordered on Uber eats and chose contactless / leave at door / drop off within the app. Great pizza, but get your employee Luther in check or have your drivers leave the pizza at the door if that’s the option...

December 28th at approximately 11:20 am I walked into this Pizza Nova and while I absolutely hate being a Karen. The guy working at this store had such an attitude he basically discouraged me from ordering. Telling me it’s going to take approximately 20-25 minutes to make garlic bread and cheese lol. I asked for a side of marana to which he replied oh that gona cost extra. That’s fine I said. I asked is it possible to heat it up. To which he rudely replied nope. Basically buddy didn’t want to work and he succeeded cause I don’t have the mental patience to deal with him for flipping garlic bread. If the owner experienced the manner in how he conducted his self he’d probably be in the unemployment...
