Order a bbq trio rice with duck gizzards but the lady heard fish balls, when I told her I asked for duck gizzards she said she thought she heard fish balls so they making fish balls in the back, so instead of rectifying the order she told me that they are already making the fish balls I can “order another side of duck gizzards it’s only $4.50”, my question was why do u have to suffer for her mistake now I’m forced to order another dish that I originally order and pay for the one I didn’t as well? I don’t understand the logic to that. The rice and bbq meat I was told was a bit bland they put the bbq sauce for the rice in 1 small tiny container you would be ginger and scallion oil not even 2 containers since it for for the entire container of rice and bbq meats (I requested for sauce on the side but I honestly did not expect them to be that stingy to say the least). This place has been around since I was a child and I'm now trying it 20 years. I arrived at 6:30 pm to most of the meat sold out. Needless to say, this iconic establishment has no issues selling it's daily inventory.

Roasted pork and duck with extra Rice ($10.50+tax) is my go to. Rice was perfectly cooked and side soup was ginseng bone soup.

Unfortunately, end of day meant the meat was dry. Roasted pork had no crisp to the skin and was chewy. Duck was under seasoned and lacked any deep BBQ flavors. I'm looking for charring with a juicy interior but what I got was a pale golden color. Small portion of meat.

Overall, the meal was palatable. I'll revisit but only to try it fresh. Very friendly...

This used to be the best place in town for Shark fin soup and Chinese BBQ.. We came for lunch around noon. We ordered Combo C and D. The quality definitely has gone down while prices went up. The BBQ duck and pork tasted old, pork was fatty and chicken was chewy. the steamed sharkfin for Combo D was 1/2 cold and not steamed properly. Quite a shame this used to be my go to lunch spot in Pacific Mall few years ago. 3 stars for being generous what this place used to be and has potential to being as good again. At the current state it's in.....
