Subway — Restaurant in Markham

DO NOT BUY AT THIS LOCATION OR ANY SUBWAY. THEY DON'T CARE ABOUT CUSTOMERS OR CUSTOMER SATISFACTION!! @subway I have had a very bad experience with Subway! I ordered mobile order. 2 snack sandwiches BLTs and nachos. The snack sandwiches were supposed to be on ciabatta buns and were put on regular crappy plain bread. When I walked into the store they told me they ran out of ciabatta buns I told them I didn't want them then The store owner made me feel like I had no choice but to take the order even though it was not the right order. I also had nachos that were supposed to have fresh salsa. After eating 2 chips I noticed there was no salsa and brought them back to the store. The owner first said i ate more than 1/2 the order. I only had 2 chips. Then he said they dont come with salsa even after I showed him my paid order confirmation showing salsa was part of the nachos. He then said they had no salsa. Refused to fix it. I requested a full refund and he refused that too even with the entire order being wrong. Said it was not his problem. When I went to eat the sandwiches they eack only had one strip of bacon and very bland. The lettuce tasted washed out and old. I then contacted customer service which is online only AI (NO WAY OF GETTING A REAL PERSON) and could not put more than 255 characters in my complaint and kept getting rejected. Finally put a complaint in after 5 or 6 tries and after all that I get an email saying my matter has been resolved. Completely unacceptable customer service. No way to speak to an actual person and disrespected by shop owner!!! Never again!! I believe I should get a full refund for my order that was completely messed up!! But the franchise owner and head office apparently don't care about customers. They Only care about lining...

The cashier at lunch here is very rude and the prices are about $1.50-$3 higher than other subway chains in the area. I went in for lunch with a coworker to pick up 3 subs for the two of us plus a coworker who could not make it to pick up her sub. From the start, I showed the guys my two coupons and they were happy to accept it. We had the subs made and I gave the cashier the coupons and he very rudely proclaimed "ONLY ONE". So I handed the other coupon to my coworker to pay rather than deal with this further. I was a little miffed because I showed the coupon prior to ordering. I was using a coupon that specified I was required to buy a drink. I asked for a small fountain drink and the cashier refused. I guess he was not too happy about me using a coupon. I tried to explain the coupon said ANY drink. He said he did not have small cups but that was clearly a lie, there were plenty of cups. I told him to charge me for a small drink and I won't take any drink. He rudely refused and growled at me. I asked for my coupon back and he was happy to return it and refuse approximately a $26 sub order (this location is more expensive than others). We left with the three subs made on the counter. The gentlemen who made our subs were nice, though they skimped on the toppings. I went to another one up the road, it was much cheaper and they were much more friendly. After having been to this location twice now, I can safely affirm that I will never be returning. The overall appearance and atmosphere of the store is run-down, dirty and calls into question sanitary practice here. The windows look like they havent been cleaned in years, and old expired promo signs that were never removed are hanging around the store. Both visits, the sandwich toppings looked awful. Wilted, yellow lettuce, dried up cucumbers and many unavailable items compared to other locations. My sandwich definitely had an offputting connotation to it. Nothing about this location is 'fresh' whatsoever. Not to mention that the price here is a few bucks higher than typical locations as well. Extra cost for very sub-par quality.
