Edit at the end. I bought a DQ ice cream cake Aug 27 for our anniversary (my wife’s favourite). It was absolutely terrible, the chocolate ice cream had gone bad and was sour and inedible. I phoned in expressing my concern and was met with a very rude “manager” that grudgingly told me I could have a second cake after telling me there was nothing wrong with the cake “we haven’t had anybody else phone, just you” the second cake he gave me happened to be the one that was next to the one I bought the day before in the freezer and was now squirrelled away in the back of the bottom shelf where it was almost not visible. This cake was of course as bad as the first, I immediately phoned and they argued on the phone telling me it wasn’t possible, the cake was made that day and the machine was clean they also said they sold 4 cakes that day and nobody else complained, now I find another review that states otherwise. They told me to make the 40 minute drive one way to bring it back so they could “look” to see if it was bad but only if I came that night. He also said that a refund was going to be “out of the question” I will never set foot in this store again. They’re rude, they lie and they appear to be fine with pulling a fast one over on their customers. Edit, after repeated calls and emails to head office I received word back from the franchise owner saying that they had borrowed staff from somewhere else when I had had my issues and that I could come in anytime for a cake as replacement for the two that had been bad. November 8th I picked up my replacement. The replacement cake was excellent and the lad behind the counter when I picked it up was quite friendly. I am glad to have come to the end of this fiasco. I stand by my one star review though as this was a ridiculous situation spanning several months and I made three trips from Markdale to Meaford to finally receive the cake that I paid...
Read moreIm glad this place is at least 4 stars I have only had 1 ONE problem here with the buffalo wrap and they not only fixed it with new ones but offered two free ones next time (which I didn’t take because I wasn’t trying to get free food) EVERYONE I have talked to so far at this place is extremely nice always smiles food is cooked very well for a fast food place and a DQ at that, always clean, and if you are complaining about price, go to McDonald’s and compare your bill smh. download DQ app it has AMAZING deals and if you did not get DQ coupons in your mail ask at the counter and they usually have them and have no problem giving them to you for that purchase too. they even let you re-use the coupons instead of taking the ones you just used there. stop feeling so entitled you work for your money to spend here they work for their money they make there, probably less than you make, so shut your mouth and give them a tip for cooking your food in-front of you on an actual grill. When I arrived music was blaring so loud I couldn’t hear the staff behind the counter and had to ask them to repeat themselves four times, saying I couldn’t hear them each time. Felt really out of place yelling over the music. I asked for a Royal Reese Brownie Blizzard and when I got home to eat it realized they didn’t give me any brownies or the peanut butter centre in my blizzard it was just Reese’s cups, so I was less than thrilled that I just paid $8+ for something that didn’t come with all the ingredients. (Reese's Peanut Butter Cups and chocolate brownies blended with creamy soft serve and filled with a peanut butter center.).
Last week when I visited and got the strawberry cheesecake blizzard, the cheesecake pieces were like rubber, it was awful. This is usually the flavour I get and I have never had the cheesecake bits taste like that.
Quality of food and service has declined at this location. I hope the Meaford team and management can implement some positive changes. I would appreciate the opportunity to to have tonight’s order replaced since it wasn’t...
