First off I would like to start by saying if I could give the store zero Stars I would. The customer service that I got or should I say did not receive here was atrocious. I visited this location in search of a beyond the meat Burger due to the fact that I am vegetarian,instead of getting that beyond the meat Burger I was served a real meat Burger which I immediately recognized from the smell and texture when I pinch the meat. By this time I was already driving back to Brooks in Newell county. Upset because I had not eaten all day which is not their fault but contributed nonetheless I called the number on the receipt. I got ahold of someone and explain the situation instead of trying to fix the situation they argued with me sarcastically that it was made fresh to order and there was no way it could be real meat and then insisted that I turn around and come back. I told them that there is an a&w in Brooks and ask them if they could phone ahead and ask that store manager if they could do them a solid and replace my burger. I explained to them that I only visit Medicine hat once a month specifically for Costco. The gentleman on the phone then told me that I should come back next month when I'm in town and they'll see what they can do which made me super livid. When I ask to speak to management he then told me that he would have to call her an see if there was a better solution and that she was not on site and needed to call me back so I gave my number and I waited.instead of the manager calling me back the same gentleman called me back and told me that the only thing they could do for me it was replace my burger a month later when I was in town next.But only if I took a picture of the burger and emailed it to his manager as proof. I was beyond livid cuz not only were you not accommodating,but because up until this point nobody had contacted the Brooks location and even asked if it was a possibility to change the burger in Brooks you are now calling me a liar by asking for a email of this burger. Needless to say they did not exchange the burger they did not contact the Brooks location and I had just paid almost $14 for a combo that I can only eat french fries and drink Ice-T from. As I sat there hungry and angry I decided to call head office because I've been a manager for years and that level of customer service or lack thereof is unacceptable to me.in searching for the customer service phone number I stumbled across a phone number and hastily dialed it. it turns out I had accidentally called the manager of the Brooks location,it must have been the frustration in my voice she asked me what was the matter I told her about my experience and she instructed me to come straight into her store and that she would replace the burger no problem just like that I didn't even ask she offered. it was bittersweet for me because had the first manager or employee of the Medicine hat location just made the phone call all of this could have been avoided. So the moral of this story is the a&w in Medicine hat the truck stop location has terrible customer service they will never see my face again they will never ever get my money and not to mention I will tell this particular story to any and everyone that would listen they're just terrible. from the sarcasm to the unwillingness to help a customer and for the sheer lack of accountability and inability to see how a negative customer experience could affect their business they will never get my money and I implore you to go to the a&w within the town limit close to Walmart or better yet go to the Brooks location if you're passing through that manager is amazing the employees are amazing and I go there all the time now and they're...

After our drive through order was incorrect, the server was rude right from the moment we prompted her the missing items in our order and inaccuracy. She was not listening, she was interrupting as we were trying to explain. After this point she charged us additional amount for missing items and we wanted to verify what the charges were for. She became hyper rude and started waving the missing order items in our face and then said enjoy your free food. Very rude and disgusting behaviour for a well established and well known franchise. By the end of my 30 minute break, I had waited 5 minutes just to place my order (the only counter person was busking food in and out of the restaurant) and another 20 listening to a lady bark out everything that was clearly visible on a screen. Didn’t really want to spend my time listening to her text-to-speech aspirations. Seems to me the orders from the drive through may be in a different timeline than customers standing inside. I noticed many other people with a similar timeline to mine.
If there wasn’t parking for a Super B outside, I would prefer to not come back. Maybe next time I’ll try my luck fitting my Kenworth through the drive through so I can increase my chances of getting something to eat in a reasonably timely fashion.
