DayzOff Pub — Restaurant in Medicine Hat

I left a little disappointed tonight. We got an order of "Scooby Snacks" which are breaded chicken bites and they were horrible. They looked and tasted raw with that rubbery, uncooked texture. I had to spit my bite back on to the plate. I don't mess around with chicken and I sure didn't want to get sick.

It's not the server's fault for the kitchen's mistake but as a server myself, I was always trained to never let a customer leave unhappy if it's an easy fix. I showed her the untouched ch bites and she asked if we wanted to order more food.... no.... it was my son's bday and we were going for desert.

She went to prepare the bill and she still charged me the full $14.95 for them even though they went straight in the garbage.

I freeze up and have severe anxiety so I couldn't bring myself to confront her about it. Normally I would tip my waitress 20-30% because I'm in the industry and I like to show my appreciation..... but she did not try to fix the situation for us..... just stole my money for a product I did not get to enjoy or consume. I'm annoyed and most likely won't go back because of her...

Dropped into DayZ Off Pub for the first time on the weekend. Here's my thoughts on the place the service was very good Fast and Friendly. The atmosphere is kinda dated but it is pub so what do you accept. The food was pretty good I had the potatoe skins and DayZ off burger with onion rings. My wife had the Rueben sandwich with sweet potato fries. The portion sizes are good prices are pretty decent. The only thing weird I found was there was tomatos on the potatoe skins first time for that. The burger was nice and juicy and for its size was filling. I couldn't imagine trying that 2lb burger challenge 😆. My wife loved the Rueben sandwich but she wasn't too keen on the fries. Would I recommend this pub yes all in all I would personally stop back and try another item on the menu and they have a lot...

Little dated of a joint. But loved the place. Actual sports bar with darts and pool, and sports on screen....

The real highlight was the food....

Started with breakfast today and it was phenomenal, steak Cooke perfectly, food was amazing, presentation was meh, but who honestly cares. The food looked like real wholesome food. See whole peppers, taste the steak spice, the crisp of the potatoes. Absolutely fantastic, we stayed for a 2nd round of apples, which were better then the meals, spinach dig and salted dog nuts were amazing....

What an absolute gem of a place, I'll drive 2 hours to come back, just to com back...
