Freshly squeezed — Restaurant in Medicine Hat

I hate that I am having to write this review as I’ve had great experiences at this store previously but today was absolutely terrible and we will not return.

This evening I came into the store to order 3 smoothies for myself and and my two kids (Pina Colada, Pineapple Colada and Orange Pineapple) When the fella placed the drinks on the counter I had noticed one of them said Tropical. I had brought it to his attention that the one of the drinks was the wrong flavour and he immediately started arguing with me that that’s what I ordered and so was “wrong”. I explained to him that I had never once said Tropical and I apologized for not confirming the order on the screen, but I would like him to remake the drink. Right away he got defensive and continued telling me I was wrong, and that this was “my fault”. While he was remaking the drink I went to put the straw in my son’s cup when the cup suddenly split down the side. It was a mess and I felt terrible. I asked him for paper towel when he then decided it was the perfect time to scold me on how I “put the straw in wrong” This entire experience was just terrible start to finish.

So I left with 2 of the 3 drinks I paid for and covered...

When at the medicine hat mall on April 3 2025.i went to Freshly squeezed , but when arrived no one was at the counter. I could hear chatter in the back area but when I called out no one came out. The employee was eating a sandwich, while asking me what I wanted to order. She placed her sandwich on the food prep area and proceeded to make my my drink. I took a photo with her and sandwich in hand. I told here it was against health policy to eat while prepping food. I asked if she had taken the food handling certificate. She didn't answer me. When I went to have my drink, I noticed food in the drink, I threw it away. I should have saved it and showed the owner. My recipe # is 0034. Don't support anyone that has staff like this in...

5th time trying this place and its never been without issues. This is my last time coming here.

For these prices I expect at least bare minimum. Server was not cordial no greeting or anything, seems like he didn't want to be there. Which isn't a big deal to me but the drinks he made were not very good. Too sweet even after asking for half sweet, He did not give me pearls like I had requested instead some kind of jelly, pomegranate juice was brown and bitter. I was the only person in the morning, he couldn't get anything right.
