Ricky's All Day Grill - Medicine Hat — Restaurant in Medicine Hat

My Complements To the Chef I don't normally go out of my way to right reviews but this must be done. So I visited the restaurant on March 17th 2021 and just sitting down to lunch nothing fancy as most food is very boring and bland to me due to growing up with a mother who was a 5 star chef. I ordered a clubhouse with a soup of the day. Well expecting the same old boring canned soup I get from every other restaurant. Not so at this place one taste and my pallet woke up like it just got hit by lighting! Turkey Rice sounds boring but it was not, my taste buds came to life as the flavor and spices rolled across them I was speechless I had to take another spoon and it was even better than the first. The soup was so excellent that I only ate half my clubhouse because I wanted the room for a second bowl. I also bought a gallon of the soup to take home because I live over 2 hours away from Ricky's and wanted to taste this divine soup again. My complements to Nicole the creator the this soup I look forward to visiting there again and trying some of your other creations I'm very sure they will not disappoint. My Dad and I stopped at Ricky's for breakfast, and we were extremely happy that we did! I had a hunch right from the landscaping outside that our experience would be positive. Would a restauraunt pay attention to making their flowers look immaculate and then serve so-so food? I didn't think so...and I guessed right! The food was incredible, our server was fun and friendly. We both had the waffle big breakfast, and would easily recommend it as long as you have a good appetite. It came with three eggs, three pieces of yummy maple bacon, three sausages, half a waffle and stuffed hashbrowns. The hashbrowns were really neat, they were layered shredded potatoes with cheese and onion, and they just had so much flavour! Everything was cooked perfectly, and we'll always eat here for breakfast again when passing through...

Our table of 7 arrived on Saturday night after being turned away from another restaurant that could not accommodate us and was warmly welcomed by the single waitress serving that night. She had a full restaurant of about 30 tables. She set expectations that she would be back for our order in about ten minutes. She had the best attitude and never rushed but swiftly served every table. She refilled our drinks and served us like we were the only table. The food was very good. Our waitress was amazing. We were one of the last tables to leave. She didn’t have time to clean up every table and you could tell the restaurant had been full as every table still had glassware.
