Starbucks — Restaurant in Medicine Hat

My girlfriend and I went through the drive thru at Starbucks a few days ago for coffee and I was so delighted by my order. I got a Caramel Macchiato and a double smoked bacon, egg and cheese.

My Caramel Macchiato, wow. What a way to start my day. I've recently taken on a new job as the Head Coach for the LSU Tigers on College Football 25 and the creamy, caffienated beverage was the perfect way to get me ready to scout some 5 star recruits this morning. Upon recieving my drink, my car was filled with a creamy caramel scent as it lingered and danced around creating a beautiful, cozy atmosphere. I take a sip of this toasty, hand crafted beverage and am taken to a world of coffee lovers paradise. Smooth, subtle caramel notes tickle my taste buds oh so seductively.

After I sip more of my Caramel Macchiato, I indulge in the classic double smoked bacon, egg and cheese breakfast sandwich. It greets me from the bag with a beautiful layer of bacon on a perfectly sized egg all bundled up comfortably under a blanket of melty cheddar cheese. The bread is a flakey, warm, buttery croissant like biscuit. What a feeling I have as I bite into its soft layers, the flavours reminding me of Patrick Swayze and Jennifer Grey performing in the 1987 classic, "Dirty Dancing". All 4 simple, classic ingredients mingling in a, dare I say, "sexy" fashion.

Needless to say, the Trans Canada Starbucks location has done it again and hit another Barry Bonds...

The birthday cakes on sticks come in 3 flavours and a spongy treat for old and young. They have a nice variety of snacks and fresh slices of cake.

I have to admit the Americano coffee was good, also the London Fog, but the actual experience was brutal. The establishment was SO filthy I can hardly describe it. The table surfaces were dirty with food, the bases of the tables thickly coated with dust and dried on liquid. The floor was totally unsanitary, filthy dirty with an infestation of ants, we actually watched them carry food into the corners from underneath our table. The faux tan leather chairs were stained black with dirt. The tables outside had a thick layer of dirt on them. The 8 staff were not busy and should have been supervised properly. The windows on the outside were filthy as were inside window ledges inside. Underneath the saggy faux leather couch it was filthy beyond belief. By far the worse Starbucks I have ever seen.
