Thuy Tien is my #1 restaurant and dining experience in the WORLD since I was a baby. My family has been enjoying it for years and years and it never fails to provide great food and service, and I know there are plenty more families in the city who have the same relationship with this place as we do! It’s a calm and friendly atmosphere, perfect for a rainy afternoon or even just a last minute lunch with a friend! I have never in my life found salad rolls and peanut sauce (#2 on the menu) anywhere else that are nearly as good as they make them here, as well as the soup (especially #22) - it can never be recreated! The family that operates Thuy Tien has watched us grow up just as we have watched them serve the community all these years. My little sister once broke a glass spoon here probably 10 years ago and to do this day they always give her a plastic or metal spoon! I’m writing this review because I am in Saskatoon and have scoured the city for a place like this and haven’t found anything - and I am missing it so much. This is an absolutely must if you’re in the city of...
Read moreStopped by this place with my friend this afternoon for lunch and ordered the #20 Special Rice Noodles Soup which impressed me with its promise of shrimp, crab meat, pork, deep fried wontons and mixed veggies. What I received included 2 wontons, 1 small piece of crab meat, and a few very thin slices (like 1/16" thick) of some meat, apparently pork. This is outright ridiculous and a shame on the part of the owner to be serving such mediocrity. Speaking of the owner - he is not a nice guy at all and didn't even try. Any questions we would ask about a menu item were met with an annoyed look as if he didn't want to hear anything other than the menu item of choice, and would answer them rather rudely. When my friend complained about an extremely low meat content (after all, he ordered double meat), the owner gave him a very dirty look and started, I believe, to complain to his employee nearby in his own language. Try a different Vietnamese restaurant because it cannot get any...
Read moreA hidden gem restaurant in downtown Medicine Hat. Satisfying authentic Vietnamese food, made and served by a charmingly friendly family. I have been eating at Thuy Tien since they first opened and has exchanged hands over the years, yet the food has always been good. The chef makes the best spring rolls I've ever tasted. If you get nothing else from here try the spring rolls. One of the best restraunts in the city. Refreshing Bubble Teas and a variety of delicious dishes that I have trouble choosing just one :) The bathroom is always very clean, and the marble decor is very nice.
One suggestion would be is to get more exposure by getting on the Internet to advertise or get connected with Skip the Dishes or another delivery service to make it easier for the consumer to access your wonderful food. Please stay open forever! I Love Thuy...
