Boston Pizza — Restaurant in Melfort

Me and my family arrived at the restaurant at 6:45 Sunday evening. We were told that we would have a 45-minute wait. There were 10 empty tables. They must have been short-staffed that night. That would normally be fine but they denied us a table simply because they said that we needed to wait 45 minutes before we could even sit at a table. We asked politely to be able to just sit and visit and have a glass of water or something for the next 45 minutes. And they said no. We asked why not and we were just told no. I asked to speak to the manager and a very very rude disrespectful individual came to the front. And she said with such disdain that you will not be seated for the next 45 minutes. I asked when the general manager would be in. And she insisted that she was going to be the person that we spoke with regardless. And then he just announced that he wouldn't serve us and turned around and left us. So we went to Venice house instead. I would give Venice house five stars. We won't be returning. We usually went to Boston Pizza three or four times a month. They won't be getting our money anymore. That was the rudest service I have ever experienced anywhere in my life. My family used to own a restaurant and that is definitely not how you treat customers. If this was my establishment she would be gone. I'd give a zero star rating if I could so the lowest is a one star. They did the same disrespectful thing to the next people that came in. We also saw them go to Venice house.

Again, 10 empty tables. One of them was technically reserved but besides the point. We would have been completely okay with sitting at a table for 45 minutes just visiting and talking with water until we were ready to be served. And they wouldn't allow us even that. I recommend that you do not frequent this...

Horrible service and very sub-par food.

Ordered a steak sandwich for myself and a Plant Based burger for my wife. Waited 20 minutes for our Pepsi and Diet Pepsi. When the food finally came, we waited an extra 5 mins for our cutlery. Then a few more minutes for the gravy that was ordered. Waitress brought the gravy, but proceeded to stop at every one of her tables firat to see how they were doing before we got it lol. We watched.

My steak was fine, but the plant based burger was as dry as a crouton. My wife couldn't eat it at all. We flagged down a server and we ordered a regular burger instead. After waiting another 20 minutes for a new burger to me made, my wife could finally eat, after I had already finished (yes I offered her my meal and part of it as well).

Never saw a manager, no discount, nothing. So much for dining out being an experience. Server we had was extremely under-trained, and everything was handled very badly.

It was a comedy of errors.and my wife wanted to cry. The server even asked if we just wanted the burger to go.....like she was pushing us out. So weird.

Maybe some more training might help here.

I mean, she forgot the drinks for 20 minutes, forgot the straws, forgot the gravy, forgot the silverware....and was aware of every mistake that happend. We should have just went home and cooked.

When we arrived around 11:20ish. Only two tables were in the restaurant. We waited 10+ minutes to be seated (not horrible, but for an empty restaurant pretty sad). Sat down ordered our drinks, another 10-15 minute wait forgot my water (not horrible again, but not impressed either). Then we ordered our starter. He said he would go punch it in and come back. Came back and took our order. forgot water again. There was a group of like 6-8 people out of the 2 tables there. So I expected a little bit of a wait. More tables started coming in at this time. 30+ minutes go by. No sign of starters or my water. Noticed the tables who came in after us were getting their meals. An hour in others still started getting their food. Starters and meals were brought out together still didn't bring my water. Our starters were wrong. At this point I got a hungry husband and child so whatever it'll do. Everyone gets their meal except me. After about 30 minutes my meal was brought out. Cold and the meat was full of fat I couldn't eat it. I never got my water. Server never came to check on us after food. When he brought us the bill I told him about my meal. He handed me the debit machine and walked away. Never said a word in response. No apology. Nothing. For a $100 meal I am extremely unimpressed. Especially when our order...
