This would be a 5 if not for the service. For the most part the whole staff is pleasant but my last 2 times here I've received very poor service from the same older woman at the front. I wouldn't have written this as people have bad days but twice in a row and a similar attitude leads me to believe this might happen more frequently(some locals and friends confirm this). This visit we placed an order via the phone and it was a burger and fries and an additional order of sweet potato fries. This would be one that could have been misunderstood and I understand that and did when we arrived. I attempted to clarify what was clearly a miscommunication and explain what we wanted, her response was to try and argue that we had said exactly what was there and it's not her fault. We accepted it as, again, mistakes happen but she continued to argue despite us clearly being ok with the side order not being there. Even as I was walking away with the food she continued, in front of other customers, to argue with us... we'd payed, said it's OK mistakes happen and even still tipped a good amount and yet she still felt the need to be rude and aggressively defend herself. It was much the same attitude I experienced the first time. Regardless of who said what during the order process, it's much easier and likely better for business to just accept a mistake happened and go into trying to resolve the issue instead of repeatedly engaging in what we both felt was an unnecessary and hostile interaction with a CUSTOMER. 5 stars otherwise as you won't top the food anywhere in this area and a lot of the staff is spectacular. If you encounter her I'd ignore her as we did and try and enjoy everyone else's hard work as the food...

I drove out to Metchosen today for peanut butter squares. Haven’t been out there for months I will compliment that the bakery food quality is great. The service today- terrible! I ordered 4 peanut butter squares but mentioned I’d noticed the big size differences. Big ones all up front. She said they pretty much all weigh the same. I asked her if she’d seen the current tray in display. She said yes. And that they pretty much weigh the same. I replied with there’s no way they are all the same. She said yes they are and that she had to take from the back of the tray cause they had been there the longest and had to do it that way for food safety reasons. The squares were cold when I got them ( therefore it’s refrigerated in there) and it was early afternoon still. That explanation makes zero sense in this specific situation. The tray appearance was terrible and it looked like they were trying to sell someone’s mistake. I was not allowed to have the large ones I requested. There were approximately 10 squares on the entire tray. I came home and weighed them. Smallest was 3.8 ounces. My biggest was 4.9 ounces. Who knows how much more the large ones left in the tray would weigh? Very disappointing. As a returning customer, I’ll find a new bakery in the future. Every bakery I’ve ever gone to, including butcher shops, picks the exact product I have requested. Those squares are $4 a piece That’s a good chunk of cash to not get what I...

Do NOT support this business. They have absolutely terrible customer service. We tried to go there for a late dinner tonight (4 of us total including a child who was hungry and needed to eat). We waited 20 minutes for a table, then finally a few minutes after being seated a manager comes out and tells us we are unwelcome in their establishment. We asked why and her response was that because my husband went there over a year ago to eat and sent his food back to the kitchen because it wasnt cooked properly. They say that is “too many problems” and we are unwelcome. We said that seems a little outrageous especially since we have a hungry child with us and also during a time where businesses are trying hard to make money and keep business. The manager simply kept stating after this that she was “not willing to talk about it any further”. I dont believe anyone should support a business that has such terrible customer service. In the past several years we have been to MyChosen Cafe lots of times and spent lots of money there, as has many other friends and family members. However apparently after one time where the food wasnt right, you get banned for saying something. Dont go unless you plan to not complain about anything no matter what, it will get you banned. Better yet, dont support them at all. I can think of many other places that would be happy to have ours and anyone else reading...

If you like home style food with a comfortable atmosphere, try this place out. It is in the country side with small farm of goats and chickens. You can view the animals and feed them grass. There is the cafe, a sugar shack (coffee, ice cream, baked goods, sandwiches, local hand made trinkets for purchase etc) and pizza place in the lower level which has amazing pizza. Okay, back to My Chosin Cafe…it’s very busy and has a wait on the weekends for sure. You can leave your number and get a text when your table is ready. So you can go look at the animals while you wait. The menu has lots of options. We had the beef dip with a Caesar salad, amazing. The chicken sandwich with onion rings, amazing. The onion rings could use panko. Then my 4 year ordered kids menu chicken strips, fries, milk and it comes with ice cream from the sugar shack all for $12.95! Delicious crispy breaded white chicken strips and good fries. We order the Sunday drink special of Mimosas for two for under $10. That’s a Mimosa each for like $5. Great deal! From the sugar shack my husband got a chocolate milk shake, it was perfect. Creamy, chocolatey, with whip and a cherry. I was impressed with the quality of food and the prices were decent! 100% will be back.

Okay so I'd actually give this place 1.5 stars, but since there's no option I definitely felt that it leaned more toward one than it did 2 stars. so my girlfriend and I walked in and they said it would be a 15-20 minute wait and that's totally fine. we ended up waiting about 55 minutes just to get seated. Our server was nice and very friendly, but, after we ordered it took nearly another 45 minutes just for the food to come out. We were on a time crunch so we told our server if we can just pay for the drink we got and leave, but she said that it's probably almost done and she can just ask them to pack it up to go. the second she goes back she just walks out with our plates like it's been sitting there for awhile, and the food definitely was not hot. The food generally was a pretty large portion (I had to order something else because they didn't have what I initially asked for) but the pricey menu pretty much makes up for that. we paid $55+ for a pretty basically made meal (2 eggs, toast, sausage, bacon, etc). and the incredibly long wait time for something expensive that you can just make at home was absolutely not worth it. The atmoshpere is nice, and the food was okay, nothing to blow my mind.
