After being called out by the owner. Here is why I leave a poor rating.
I ordered a coffee and promptly dropped it getting into my truck, so I bring the dirty empty cup and show the lady. The first thing she says is "You should have ordered two cups" Unamused by the joke I order another cup, to which I do NOT make a fuss about having to pay for or even ask for a free refill. Then am told they are out of drip coffee. No mention of "hey, I'm closing soon so I can't brew a whole pot". Then offered another beverage that I don't really care for, so I cut my losses and left.
Did I expect a free drink or at least one at cost? No. Would it have been good customer service? Yes Timmie's has given me a free drink after dropping it, some bars give you a free drink if you spill yours. Even 7-11 gave my kid a free slurpie after he dropped his, becuase they know that customer will remember and come back
You get one star from me because of your poor joke to spend more, asking to 're-use the dirty cup I dropped, and your inability to provide an experience where I would want come back
I'll give you two stars because you helped me between orders....
Read moreThis is one of my favourite little gem spots in Metchosin. She makes delicious everything! From her breakfast sandwiches to samosas and all the baked goods. A hearty warning on the banana bread though, it’s absolutely highly addictive. I am someone who believes I make the best banana bread and well the lovely owner sure makes me question if I do. I do warn it will become your next addiction, but it would be a right one to have 😋😋 Also one of my favourites staples here in a chocolate chia latte- just to note I’ve never actually liked chia and this little hot drink has my hailing in its delicious glory🙌🫶🙌 Last but not least, the outside is dog friendly, always the right crowd of people in here and there is always stunning new local art on display which is another one of my favourite reasons for stopping in whenever I get the...
Read moreTook me by surprise as I hadn't noticed it before despite many trips to Metchosen village. Very friendly and warm reception and veggie samosas, cinnamon ginger raisin commuter cookie surprisingly good, chocolate truffle energy balls, and eggnog lattes offered as well as almond and oat milk substitute, scones and other breakfast and lunch sandwiches offered. I want to try the chocolate chai too! Support this local business celebrating it's 15th year. Excellent tasry coffee fair trade and I believe organic as well. Lots of comfy spots to sit and read or do a crossword puzzle like one family there was doing. Closed the week of Christmas and New...
