Literally donāt even know where to begin. Iāve never had such a horrible experience at a restaurant. First, we sat down at the table & the bread came around. I picked up my WRAPPED silverware & noticed it was disgusting with chunks of green something on the spoon (some sort of leftover food) I COULDNT BELIEVE IT!! So I began to inspect the rest of the tables silverware & 3/4 were disgusting with remnants of food on them. Then I checked the small bread plates & THEY ALSO were dirty. Picked one up and got some gross greasy white chunky stuff on my hands- no it was not butter & bread. DISGUSTING!!!! We should have just left from there! But we were very hungry & I order takeout from here atleast once a week & never had an issue & the food has always been delicious. We all begin eating our food which was very delicious & toward the end of my meal, Iām eating some of the penne noodles and feel myself bite down on something horribly HARD!!! Confused, I spit it out and it was a piece of metal or hard plastic or something!! Then I feel my tooth with my tongue & ITS ALL SHARP AND JAGGED -BROKEN IN HALF!!!!!!!! I cannot believe this happened. I hate confrontation so I tried to laugh it off with my family but then I thought u know what this was not right at all. Not to mention, the kitchen staff needs to be more careful because that couldāve been a CHILD!!! Like even MY CHILD That was eating next to me!!! Unbelievable. The manager was surprised & kind, although he kind of insinuated that I put it in there by saying āthat didnt come from here, we donāt have anything that looks like thatā I said āWell I didnāt put it in here & break my own tooth!!ā Like seriously.. which they can confirm by CHECKING THE SURVEILLANCE CAMERAS!!!! He then apologized & gave me my meal for free. Also gave a discount on my mothers bill due to the disgusting dishes that were on the table. The server was kind although I felt we were annoying her because of asking for new dishes and silverware because (no one would want to eat on dishes that still has someone elseās meal on it puke ) We left her a $25 tip for her ātroublesā. I didnāt think to get pictures of the disgusting dishes on the table because I was so flabbergasted. But here is a graphic picture of my broken tooth, also a picture of the metal or plastic piece...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreI was hesitant to write a review because I donāt like to write bad reviews but Iām very disappointed that a restaurant would act like this. I came there to meet a few friends, there was a baby and I had a young daughter. When we stood at the front no one greeted us. The employees saw us but for a few minutes no one noticed us. There was no horn to honk since it was broken. I had to wave someone down, which already was not a good thing. Once the table was cleaned we found our seats (mind you it was not that busy). The person who cleaned our table was the only person who had really good service in my opinion. When our server came, she was okay at first but when she forgot to bring the extra soup and we mentioned this to her, she didnāt seem to respond in a proper manner. Our bread took time as well, which we had to ask about. This is something that should be communicated throughout the time we are there. Finally, the main course came, my daughter asked for bowties with the bolognese sauce. They gave her spaghetti instead! Thankfully my daughter doesnāt complain as I was about to ask them to change it but she insisted she was okay with the spaghetti. We were asked for desserts but as we said no, she never mentioned to us that children get a dessert with their meal. The last point came to paying our bill, that was probably the only time I felt we had the most interaction with our server. Very disappointed, I have been to this location before and never had this experience before. I have been to other locations of East Side Marioās and they are amazing. I told my friend that next time letās go to the heartland location because of the customer service, there the service is impeccable!! After yesterday, I was so disappointed and questioned myself, is customer service...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreUpdate: Very impressed with customer feedback care from Eastside Mario's team; received call & email directly from manager of the location to mitigate the issue and to clarify charges. Kids meals- $2 only on Tuesdays.
Sure hope this was an isolated incident on this location and care will be taken moving forward as I see great review from other customers on this location.
The only positive point: Went on a Saturday night without reservation, the place was packed but they were able to accommodate us on a table and got us set-up with high chair
The many negatives: Ordered one appetizer, two adult mains and two kids meals- never received our salad or soup with adult meals (even though she took the order), did not receive the included juice for kids until we reminded her; the signature calamari was so dry & needed some cpr; you can tell it was very frozen calamari from freezer Even though we didn't receive our soup or salad, main dishes were shoved onto our small table before we even dug into appetizer; hot plates were too close to the kids. There was no regard to customers pacing of food... Service was below average no utensils were provided even after food was served until we asked had to ask for everything, and for a stretch of time couldn't even find the girl came back to ask what did I order exactly š« didn't even bother asking are we ordering dessert, she was ready to give us the check To top it all off, at east side Mario's with every entree that's over $19.99, kids meals are $2.00; realized when we got home we paid full price šµšµšµ Worst service I've experienced ever, wish I got the server's name; gave two stars for the entrance service employees who were accommodating as we...
