So at the Starbucks drive thru yesterday barista hands me the payment machine and tells me tap isnât working I have to insert card, I take machine which is displaying the several tipping options select no tip and tap card, It works, Guy starts babbling about how sometimes it works and sometimes it donât itâs been like it for a while yada yada yada,
I think that tapping without looking deprives him of a tip and this was a lie to put people in the tipping situation,
Hard to believe a global high end company like Starbucks has a glitchy payment machine that doesnât get fixed straight away, and the prompt to not even try to tap was suspicious,

The staff is always more than friendly and never skips a beat with orders. EVERY experience I have had at this location has been nothing but positive as the high energy and amazing social skills of the employees is so refreshing for a fast food/coffee chain. My drinks are made to perfection and are consistent to Starbucks standards. If I am not heard properly I am asked to repeat myself politely to ensure my drink comes out to my specific request- and during my wait time employees make an effort to chat and make me smile instead of just closing the window.    Read moreUnfortunately my last experience wasn't a positive one at this location :( I pulled into the drive-thru (a few mins before close, which I didn't realize at the time) at the same time as one other car. In the time that the other car was ordering the store closed, so when it was my turn at the intercom all i received was a rude "uh, we're closed." I don't feel that was the best way to handle the situation, so abrupt and unnecessarily rude then had to wait behind the car that was in front of me to receive their order before I could exit the drive-thru.
