Swiss Chalet — Restaurant in Miramichi

Coming from the Toronto area, I am used to enjoying Swiss Chalet experiences that include great sit-in comfort and table service.

Today was the second time we went to eat in at the combination Swiss Chalet / Harvey's.

Having the food at nice tables in the small intimidate dining area was with real cutlery and on plates is an important part of the eating out experience. This location, and the care and attention that the staff went to in order to get our food to us quickly, providing assistance as needed, and making sure that we had everything we needed - it was greatly appeeciated.

Food was very good, chicken was tender and portion sizes were very good - ensuring none left hungry.

Definitely a go-to for me in an area that has a limited number of...

I like the idea of having a Harvey's and a Swiss. But right out of the gate, the parking lot is too small. If you can get over that, then it's not a bag place if your in a rush and want something other than McD or BK. It's nice to have a choice of restaurant but I feel as though Swiss chalet should be it's own or at least have table service. My favorite is the Buffalo chicken wrap but for some reason they don't seem to make the same every time. It's always a gamble and half the time I just unwrap and rewrap it myself. I was rather put off by the dirty dishes on the tables. For whatever reason, they want you to leave your mess on the table. If you can get some consistency and a cleaner dining room, I will...

This is the Swiss Chalet in Miramichi. We stopped in there on our way to visit our former Family Priest, Rev. Richard McConnel who lives in Miramichi Bay. I was dying for fish & chips. Who knew Swiss Chalets makes the best fish n chips this side of the Atlantic. The food was great. The service was 5 stars. The young man who served us (My husband is a Gold Seal France trained Chef, I am from Uganda). Thierry joked "Look at the grin on your face. I bet if we move to Miramichi, you will come here and apply for a job".

It was that good that frankly, I now feel like applying for a job at Swiss Chalet. ONLY because of one kid who took our order. I can't get over how he was smiling the entire time. We need...
