Friday, February 14, 2020 - 5:23 p.m. - While I can appreciate the fast food business is a tough industry to thrive in, places like the brand name as in this case should never take 22 minutes for a McDouble meal. 22 minutes!
My meal was specific in that, I wanted no pickles or ketchup on the burger and no salt on the fries as McDonalds loves to pour on the salt if you haven't noticed that. This is not an understatement, many of the chains do and I cannot wrap my head around WHY given the health issues that eventually hits you later in life with high blood pressure.
I noticed other patrons arriving after me with their families receiving their meals as I waited patiently. At the time of receiving my meal 23 minutes later, 5:46 p.m., I questioned the lady who served me who appeared to be in management, given her different dress code and her response was, we're busy. No customer service, no sorry, just, we're busy. I told her that this was totally unacceptable and that it should never take, NEVER take 22 minutes for a $5.25 meal! Her attitude was such that it was disrespectful and uncaring. I did tell her that I would be calling her Head Office and her response was, "please do", "Go ahead". I couldn't believe how she wasn't the least bit concerned in any way.
If you react this way to a customer, what reflection does that have in your employees. My answer to that is, you have a business that doesn't care about it's patrons and who cares what they get at the end of a 23 minute wait for a meal for one person. If the customer is upset, WHO CARES!
To add insult to this whole situation, my burger was slapped together like it didn't matter where the buns were placed, the meat was inserted in a sloppy way, it just looked God awful messy and totally disgusting with ketchup soothing our of the edges and of course, lets not forget the pickles that were added. When I picked up the burger, it was oozing with grease and the fries had salt. 110% failure to provide the service!
This goes to show that the kitchen staff preparing the meals are an absolute extension of the management that takes no pride in the customer experience.
A multi billion dollar brand name and the female manager tempted me to go ahead and call McDonalds Head Office as she really didn't care and the look she gave and the look the patrons gave me was priceless. I asked for my money back, it was disgusting to be put through such a terrible experience with this particular location.
Bravo to McDonalds in Mission! You failed miserably and I will never patronize your establishment ever and yes, I will be filing a formal complaint to your Head Office. (Not that your female manager cares)
Finally to the overzealous female manager who served me the wrong order. Don't ever think you are above the game. The way you treated this was very poor and I have to question how in Gods earth you became a manager / Team leader or what ever title you may hold. You definitely require an attitude adjustment. In your line of work, the customer is in most cases right and in my case, you actually owe me and other customers you treat this way, a...
Read more2 years ago, I had a full star review draft that I apparently never submitted. It must have been fate, because on Friday morning, along with breakfast burritos, I had ordered an XL Regular (1 sugar+1 cream) add 2x espresso. When I got to work, I discovered I had been given a simple XL black coffee.
2 days later. (Sunday now) wife sends me down for a simple lunch order. As someone else has earlier posted , I was ignored at the drive thru speakers as more vehicles advanced through their transactions on the opposite side. Since my normal toned requests for help went ignored, I had to raise my voice, to which I finally got a response, "oh, have you not been helped?". I confirmed that I had not, and after being assured by the person on the end that she was ready take my order, it sounded like she was trying to decipher VF signals from the moon.
When I got to the front window to pay, we agreed on a dialogue to confirm the order. I noted the lack of a couple items I could tell she was frantically trying to rectify, I asked her if she did not receive my complete order in the first place, and she assured me that she had(looking at each other, we both knew it was a complete lie.) It's sad she decided to lie instead of just saying it was busy, and maybe there is a comms problem with the dual lane drive thru.
When I got to the pick up window, I asked if my order has been double checked , and she said it was.
When I got home with the food, the order was confirmed correct, as long as you consider 5 ketchup lots of ketchups for food with no drinks that exceeds $25.00.
The 20 piece nuggets were delicious; everything else was garbage; the fries were worse than leftover KFC french fries. A bloody disgrace with...
Read moreOver the last 8 years, I have visited this McDonald's location many times.
The quality of the food has always been decent, though not great. Prices have substantially increased, far above the rate of currency inflation, though still in line with the overinflation of all food prices in recent years.
The long time staff members have always been nice, though are very overworked. New hires never seem to be given sufficient training, and employee turnover is extremely high due to this and the stressful environment. The quality of the food suffers as a result of all these factors, though it's not the fault of the employees that they aren't trained well enough and are overworked.
Curbside service through the mobile app is usually easy, though employees can become confused which vehicle they are delivering an order to due to the receipt slips being a bit ambiguous, and the numbers of the curbside stalls not being marked clearly enough to be easily read. An issue with the store rather than the employees, from my experience.
Despite McDonald's branding all their drive through locations as open 24 hours, this location closes almost entirely starting between 1:30 and 2:30 AM, sometimes still fulfilling drink orders until 3:00 AM, and reopens for breakfast orders some time after 4:00 AM, sometimes closer to 5:00 AM.
Drive through service times are somewhat slow but passable most of the time. Service times in general become horrible during peak hours, though that's to be expected when a hundred people are all trying to visit the location in a 15 minute time block.
Realistically, it's a McDonald's like most others; you aren't going to go there for...
